For the briefest moment Ben saw a huge blur with a an even blurry weapon held high. Tecluh struck down with his trident at Ben. Sensing the danger Ben raised his great sword to defend the attack. The power behind that attack sent him ten steps back.
When Ben found his footing he looked at the winged hulk with a fierce gaze. Seeing the demon in front of him made him remember the Green Hulk, but a miniature version of the original was best to describe this demon.
On his head Ben saw a horn protruding from the center of his forehead, he estimated it to be 3 or 4 inches long. And at his back was a very strong bat wing.
"You have delayed our plans young Unspoken. I am not afraid, but you would have to die." Teckluh said when he felt that Ben had inspected him enough.
(AN: Try reading it again.)
"Do you have any idea how many times people have said that to my face?" Ben asked rolling his eyes with a chuckle.
"No."
"*Cough* *Cough*," Ben choked on his laughter after hearing the bat-hulk literally answering a rhetorical question, "That was a fucking rhetorical question, but what do you know? You know what, nevermind, let's get this over with." Ben decided to end the chit-chat.
He brought his sword up and coated it with dense Light-type element. Since only the pure and holy overdose of the Light element was able to kill two Late Servant-level Hellhound and eight Banishers, he figured that this was the best element to deal with these assholes.
""Ahhh!!!""
Both Teckluh and Ben unleashed a loud battlecry and engaged in a brutal bodily base combat. Teckluh held the end of his trident and made a horizontal slash, he was planning to go for Ben's head.
Fortunately, Ben was not as tall as the winged hulk. All he had to do was bend on one knee. With the distance drawn close Ben gave an uppercut slash, but Teckluh flapped his wings evading the slash. He evaded the slash but still got burnt by the Light element.
"How is this possible? You are clearly an Unspoken of the First Class, how can your magic harm me?" asked Teckluh holding the burn on his chest area.
"You don't expect me to actually answer that, do you? Well, the honest answer is that, you're weak. Enough talk, let's dance!" Ben coated his legs with Wind magic and made a Wind Track to boost his speed while he dashes towards Teckluh.
In a matter of seconds Ben and Teckluh exchanged more than two dozen strikes on each other. Ten minutes of relentless blows the two stopped and took one more look at the other. The two looked composed, their breathing was calm but deep. This shows that they expended a large sum of energy.
Ben calmly brought out four white elemental crystals and crushed them refilling his Light Halo. Teckluh's face turned ugly as Ben crushed those elemental crystals. He too had black elemental crystals for the Darkness-type element but he wasn't crazy enough to crush and absorb four in one go, at most one or two and that would be when he is at his absolute limit.
Less than twenty minutes had passed and Ben already used that amount, this would mean one of two thing; either his family backing him can afford so much elemental crystals to be wasted like so, or the young man before him is a complete moron and an inexperienced fighter to not know how to conserve energy in a fight. Looking back at Ben's fighting style, however, doesn't make him look like an idiot.
If only Teckluh knew that not only was Ben not backed by any faction, clan, or family and that his possession all came from the Badlands treasure vault he would rather volunteer to break down the wall than fight someone with unlimited power supply while he has practically nothing.
Nevertheless, he was given a task and the task he shall complete. And that is too kill the nusance giving them a headache. He began running towards Ben again and do did Ben. But he wasn't going to play by the rules. With a flap of his wings he took to the sky's, now he has an advantage of using the sky.
Teckluh gathered Dark Matter on the tip of his trident and gave a downward slash to Ben. Ben was caught off guard when his target became an aerial fighter, but that was only for a second. He replied with an uppercut slash, sending out Light elemental sword beams to the air.
The two beams of energy collided creating an explosion with both opposing elements fighting to consume the other. Ben was sent off his feet and tumbling ruthlessly on the ground. He might have broken a lot more of his bones during that fall if he hadn't cast his Earth-type defensive spells. It was no surprise that his opponent is stronger than he is.
Before the light in the collision could even subside five demonic spikes flew at Ben. Using quick reflexes Ben sent three Light Balls at the farthest three and used his sword to send sword beams at the nearest ones. He wouldn't be fast enough to summon two sword beams within a second, so he opted to try dodging the last.
"*Grunt*!" Ben dodged the demonic spikes from stabbing his stomach but it still sliced the side of his stomach, leaving a wide gap that already began corroding.
The pain was unbearable as it just began corroding his skin, black blood gushed out. He was poisoned. He had to stop the bleeding or else he'll die from blood loss rather than a stab to the heart.
"Lucy!" Ben called aloud stunning Teckluh for a second.
'How can I help?' the Super Artificial Intelligence that was quiet for some time now was called.
"Take the wheel. I'm bringing backup."
'With ple...'
"Who are you talking to, Unspoken? Perhaps, your last words of..." Teckluh was was interrupted by Ben's sudden shift in behavior, even his eyes had grown... dull.
"...Combat Mode, Activated."
The words that came from his opponent's mouth was odd. Even his facial expressions was different than a few seconds prior. It was something he was well versed with, in fact, such expression can be found in the faces of the thousands of creatures and people they brought to invade the city. It was the expression of a Possessed.
