章節 102: Summoning A Student

"...The person who made these potions is Benjamin Williams."

How many more times do these old men and women have to be continuously surprised at once. Did he just say a student made these potions? A potion that not even someone who claims to be an Advanced alchemist couldn't create? This must be ridiculous!

"Benjamin Williams? Erin, isn't that an Entrance-level Spellcaster who just left the realm of being a Chosen not so long ago?" Elder Valery asked stealing a glance at Belti.

"Yes, he is the one." Erin answered.

"Do you have proof that he is the one who made these potions?" asked Arch Magus Tifu.

"He recreated the Consumable Lotion at my front and I recorded the footage of the other two potions process in this memory crystal." Erin was no more as enthusiastic as before when things began to get very serious.

A memory crystal floated in the air for all to see the pictures moving in it through the means of Mindpower. The entire process took ten minutes for everyone to understand that they were dealing with something unusual. The damn procedure of the brew was unusual!

"Do you know what this Ben wants in return?" Elder Shanks asked.

"He asks for two things in return from the school in exchange of the recipe of these potions before us today." Erin answered.

"And what is that?" for the second time since the beginning of this meeting Belti spoke. He didn't know what Ben would be asking from a council of seniors that he, his mentor, couldn't pget.

Erin looked at Belti for some time then said, "His first request is that the school gives him a percentage of every batch of potion his recipe makes..."

"Hmm, this isn't a problem, I believe with what has been shown and the capabilities of these potions that can be arranged, right Elders?" an Elder amongst them said looking at the Elders around.

"Ah, yes. It is indeed possible. Did he ask for a percentage then?" Elder Valery asked.

"Yes, he did. For every batch he asks for ten percent." said Erin.

"Hmm, although a bit preposterous, we can have an agreement with other Elders once they see what he has to offer. Now, what was the second thing he wanted?" said another Elder named Jade.

Erin looked back at Belti and this time he didn't remove his gaze. Belti frowned when he saw Erin looking at him that way, and for the second time at that. Belti waited to see what made Erin keep looking at him.

"He is looking to know how and why a certain woman was tracked down and killed..." as Erin kept talking he had his eyes on Belti the whole time.

"The Magic Association has a very powerful intelligence network but it is mainly focused on those with professions rather than normies. Nevertheless, I don't think simply giving us some recipes would guarantee us asking for the Magic Associations stren..." Elder Jade was rudely interrupted in the middle of her speech.

"Did Ben tell you her name?" Magus Belti interrupted.

"...Belti!" Elder Jade shouted angrily when she was interrupted by someone who isn't even an Elder much less an Arch Mage.

"Jade...!" Elder Nes called for the Elder to calm. Then to Belti, "Belti, you must remember that the Elders are in your presence and respect must be given."

Belti merely glanced at the offended Elder and gave only a nod. This was the least he would do. Shooting back his gaze on Erin he asked again.

"Did he tell you her name?"

"Yes, he did. Her name is Amanda Wesley."

Rumble!!!

Like a streak of lightningll Belti shot himself from his seat to stand before Erin. Erin right now was dangling off his collar with Belti holding him in the air.

The council couldn't react in time when they first heard the name. And by the time the knew what was happening they all saw Erin on his tip toes. Magic became rampant in the air, chaotic even.

"Belti, if you know what's good for you, drop Erin down." Elder Nes shouted. He knew just how crazy Belti could be. Especially when it concerns certain people.

"Fine." Belti reluctantly backed down when he was locked down by multiple Spellcasters.

"Erin, what did you say her name was again?" Elder Shanks asked again.

"Is that really necessary?" Belti growled angrily at the friendly Elder.

"Belti, let's try and understand how things got to this it might not even be..." Arch Magus Tifu fearfully shut his mouth when a small thunderstorm gathered above his head with violent lightning flickering overhead.

"Everybody sit down!" Elder Nes shouted out. When they all heard his voice that was accompanied with the force of an Arch Mage of the Third Order, all those that couldn't withstand the pressure completely fell back to their seats. Belti was put down on one knee but his tyrannical Mindpower was holding him from completely going face flat on the ground. "Erin, where is Ben right now?"

"He is in my lab back at my office, Elder." Erin answered after standing back to his feet.

"Call for him."

...

Currently Ben sat in the lab watching Ashley make some basic potions. She didn't like it mainly because Erin told Ben to guide her in alchemy. Her biggest problem was diagnosed to be her pride, but ever since Ben showed what he could do she hasn't had a good time.

"Can you tell me something?" Ashley asked.

"What is it?"

"Where did you learn how to make such potions?"

Ben was quiet for a while, thinking of how to answer her question. He couldn't just wake up to say a super computer that was launched into space in a time that doesn't exist yet now resides in his head with over a million formulas for different types of potions, if he can even call them that.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Ben said.

Ashley looked at Ben, she doesn't think there are many things that could be said to be unbelievable.

"Try me." Ashley says add she crosses her hands over her chest.

"There's no..."

Buzz Buzz

Ben was cut short when his identity card buzzed with a message. He looked at his card after removing it from his storage pouch. He was summoned to the Grand Hall.

"...I've got to get going, alchemist Erin is asking me to go to the Grand Hall." without another word from him he left heading to the tower where his identity card was showing him.

Upon arriving Ben was met with a student in black robe. Why Ben knew this was a student despite her wearing a black robe was because, unlike the robes of teachers, mentors and Elders, theirs are plain black with no coloured lines showing what element they specialize in or their status. Just plain.

"Yes, how may I help you?" the student asks.

"I was summoned to the Grand Hall to join the meeting taking place now." Ben answered her swiftly.

"You must be Ben. I was tasked with bringing to the Grand Hall." as she replied she kept looking at Ben with a hint of disgust and annoyance. Ben realized that times like this was because she must have been busy before being tasked to do something like this.
