"Grandma?" The old lady heard the familiar voice call. She was just getting ready to sleep before the interruption. Knowing her grandchild well, the lady rested her head back on the pillow and waited. 

Mara came into view dressed in a flimsy little dress. This could be said to be more modest compared to the rest. 

"What brings you to my chamber at this time child? Shouldn't you be sleeping?"

The princess sat on the three-legged stool by the bed. She took the old lady's hand in hers and began to give it a massage. 

Surprised, the woman sat up, gaze searching for an answer. Although she loved her grandchildren, Mara was held favourite. Unlike the rest, the girl was well-mannered and obedient. 

Additionally, she tended to keep to herself. The only time the girl would approach her grandma with this attitude was if she needed something or felt aggrieved.
