Lahan's smile had disappeared since the day his beloved left. Every day felt harder than the next. His sleep cycle was affected as well as his mood.
He hardly spoke to the others in the house. Sadly, Samir had been too busy covering the spy network to engage him in any conversation until this day.

The hybrid prince smiled kindly. It must be hard seeing your lover in her brother's features. "You know, I had never gotten the chance to talk to you. Except for the threats of course. Sorry about that."
Lahan smiled a little at the memory. He had broken into their home as Ezra to meet the woman who drove him crazy. Thinking about where he and Samira started now feels like such a long time ago.
