He was dreading every step he took towards his quarters. Very few things scare him to this extent. Angelo sighed again.

He never knew that such a day would come. With all his might and the powers he possessed, no one would think that he could fear a thing.

Yet here he was. Feeling anything but confident as he prepared himself to face the woman his heart called to. 

As he took the first step inside, he didn't miss the frantic heartbeat that didn't belong to him. It made his heart ache for the disappointment that flooded his senses.

Despite the overwhelming feeling, he trudged on with a goal in mind. Zira stood in her tracks as her gaze fell on him.

It didn't help that his features were stoic with no apparent emotion on them. She didn't know why she suddenly felt afraid but she did.
