It was past midnight back on earth. Jibril was in the office on the pretext that he was working. However, that wasn't the case. He was waiting for a certain someone to knock on the seal again.

For the past few days, his mind has been on an overdrive. He kept wondering why she never showed up. Considering how reluctant she had been to leave him, he found it weird that she never came back.

Did he go too far with his silly jokes and affection? Maybe he did something she didn't like? He had too many unanswered questions.

Due to his prideful nature, he never went up to wait for her. He stayed inside, eagerly anticipating her rampant knocks which never came.

Finally, he gave up on his pride and chose his heart. Maybe if he went up there, he might find her waiting for him.

Upon that thought, his heart hammered in his chest. What if she came and waited for him? What if she was testing him and he failed?
