I looked at Faith, standing in the doorway with her hands on her hips, then slid my gaze back at Mario who looked like he had just seen a ghost. This wouldn't end well, I knew it from the moment I had heard her voice and caught myself hoping that there had been something wrong with my hearing.

There was an awkward moment of silence, none of us said anything. Faith and Mario were staring at each other and I was wondering if I could escape the situation by walking out of the room because honestly, I hated being in the middle of two people who looked like they were about to explode.
