Gideon stopped frowning the moment he heard her explanation.

He turned to leave the guest bedroom.

Freya remained sitting on the bed for some time.

The next day, Freya woke up at 7:00 a.m.

After she was done making breakfast, Gideon had yet to come downstairs.

Freya went upstairs. She stood in front of the master bedroom and raised her hand to knock on the door gently.

After knocking on it three times, the door finally opened.

Gideon opened the door wearing his bathrobe. Some water was dripping down his dark short hair and trickling down his chest and abdomen. His slightly tanned complexion made him look lean and healthy.

For a moment, Freya went into a daze. She nearly forgot what she was doing at his door.

When she heard Gideon's voice, she snapped out of her daze. "What are you doing here?"
