Looking over the paper I was rather excited about the fact I absorbed all the Exp plus materia. A permanent 25x bonus excellia gain is amazing. I don't even give a shit that I missed out on some elemental magics.
(As usual the status plate will be in the auxiliary chapters.)
Long term having such an increase will help me immensely.
"Huh, I can't create more knights?" That materia didn't show up it just vanished. "Oh well, I'm fine with 13."
7 empty magic slots, 3 empty guardian force slots, I had absorbed cactuar and tonberry.
I add the materia for Earth, Ice, Water, Darkness, Poison, Wind, And finally Ultima.
That would give me access to every elemental magic I own and then Ultima for non-elemental magic. Filling up all 7 slots in a single go.
Going over the characters I got items for some of them were pretty useless. Rose, was a rapier user and had the black dragoon spirit, however I did also get a second dragon buster sword from her. Albert was the owner of the wind dragoon spirit, but other than that he was pretty crap as he was a spear user but I had better spear user knowledge. However being a king I got some information about that. Red XIII was even more useless as all i got from him was materia, i didn't even get a new transformation skill. There is 3 out of 6 useless to me so far.
Cait Sith. Looking at my ring in confusion I pull out the actual body of Cait Sith and the big pink creature. Both of them are puppets, basically advanced androids that can be controlled with a special materia, they of course can also use materia but they draw mana from the controller. "Odd but neat." I store them back in the ring. Other than that I get more materia so basically I just got a puppet and the materia to control it from that.
Gaffgarion, that was a bit useful. He was actually classified as a dark knight. He had the ability to steal both Hp and Mana from his enemies and use his own life force to attack. It was a double edged sword as you were also damaged in the attack but it caused massive damage. There were quite a few nasty dark sword moves. There were a couple of rather gruesome looking swords which I got and some strange looking armor. I consider it a nice gain.
Then finally Cid Kramer, The founder of Seed, the place where Squall learned combat. He gave me a surprising item.
"Balamb Gardens." It was the entire fucking school which could also be used as a hovering fortress, however it doubled as a place to live. Like we are talking a full town basically that could hover in the air. It couldn't fly, more like float. But still it was basically the perfect base, there were even some proper vehicles inside. Basically it's like a castle that can float and it looks beautiful.
Good gains if I've ever seen one I suppose.
Well its helpful atleast. Alexander may be able to turn into a fortress however his internal parts are a bit well, awkward. You can't really adjust anything around inside of him. If he shifts back into his large mode just about everything would be jostled and destroyed.
I'll put that up later.
Well that was pretty much everything. Taking out the wind dragoon spirit I bond with it along with the second dragon buster sword.
"Now I have the whole collection." I smile happily. It always feels good completing a collection of items.
"Whole collection?" Hel asks curiously.
"Of dragoon spirits, I have all of them. i wonder what Hephaestus would do if she learned i own every single one that can be found in this world." i grin happy at my tiny bit of revenge the goddess doesn't even know about.
"I imagine it would drive her crazy." Hel says with a small smirk of her own.
"Sucks to be her, I doubt she would lower herself to apologize so she won't even have a chance to look at them. I'm certainly not going to beg her for anything, I have most of the equipment I need for now, worst case scenario we head off towards the dwarven mountains." I can be incredibly petty. As for Loki well I don't really care what anyone else does, I am however welcome to my opinion and if I don't like what someone is doing or them as a person I'll let them know. Doesn't bother me a bit if they decide to just fuck off or whatever. "Learning how to smith equipment would be lovely." I keep getting unlucky and mostly get warriors, engineers, or gunsmiths. I don't have a single blacksmith, or alchemist, or any kind of like lifestyle skill template.
Still I was quite pleased with what I had gotten for the most part.
I pull my shirt back on and take off the rest of my armor, I'm pretty sure we are done with the dungeon for the day. I doubt the ants would work anymore so we are probably going to have to go deeper into the dungeon. We can test it out later but for now. I cast a silent Cura on my body to get rid of any leftover pain and sigh in relief. Still I'm probably one of the fastest to get to level 3 in the world. I wonder what my stats compare to a higher level adventurer.
I'm curious how stats and levels translate to combat skills, like would a level 6 stat in strength be more powerful than a level 2 stat in strength, as in do I gain the same physical power for getting a point in strenght at level 2 that I do at level 6 or is there an increase? I don't really have much of a way to test it. Like am I a super beast that can fight much higher levels or am I just like an extreme level 3 or something but would still get slapped by level 5s.
It's all a bit confusing to me, I'll have to read more into it at the guild.
