章節 76: Awakening…
The Rakia Army watched as a solid grey dragon spiraled into the air, Ares was dumbfounded but a wide smile took to his face anyway as he practically yelled out "Dragons! THEY HAVE TAMED DRAGONS! Find who did such a feat, murder their whole family we will take them with us" pointing his sword forward he commanded "CHARGE!"
As the Rakia Army marched upon the unfinished walls and hastily put up gate, Ares slowly became more and more excited; he didn't expect such a small kingdom to have such wonderful treasures, but he felt as if something was off. Like he was forgetting something important, muttering to himself he spurred his horse "Well if I forgot it isn't important."
A volley of arrows came over the wall, a commanding officer called out "Shields UP!" Like a wave, shields of all sizes were raised high, for many this stopped the arrows threatening their lives, however for some this wasn't simply enough as the arrows tore through their wooden shields.
High in the skies, Sebas watched over the battle: "We need to finish this before Lumas arrives…" Soreen who was clutching onto his scales deftly nodded…

"Haru meet Jūr," Despite trying to hide it Aria was excited if… if Haru likes Jūr doesn't that mean they can all play together? Just that thought was enough to send her mind into overdrive thinking about all the games they would play.
Haru nervously reached her hand out, extending a single finger towards Jūr's snout. After a few 'loud' sniffs Jūr twisted about in Aria's hands to send her a nod, in a fit of excitement Aria began jumping about before leaping at Haru pulling her into a hug causing the Renard to stiffen… she wasn't one for physical contact, but for the happiness of her Princess she didn't struggle instead she simply reciprocated the hug; albeit awkwardly…
However Haru soon came to realize that unlike the 'hugs' she used to receive, there was no disgusting feeling in her gut, no skin crawling fear, no pain… Only an indescribable warmth and happiness, she looked around the room with a newfound gaze, a smile much more believable than before crawling upon her face.
The smile quickly disappeared as the window to Aria's room shattered, a figure dressed in a black skin tight suit kicked off the air entering the room. The figure stretched its hand out wrapping its fingers through Aria's hair, Aria instantly began to struggle but the dull gleam of steel reflecting in Haru's eyes forced her to cease her effort, Tears began to pool in her eyes as the pain similar to having her hair ripped out clouded her mind.
Haruhime kept her distance, seemingly scared like any other maid but her eyes landed on Jūr who was coiled around Aria's finger like a ring, his scales became jagged and his once toothless mouth revealed a row of sharp teeth, his two ears laid flat against his head as he shot forward like a spring biting deep into the figures neck.
This allowed Haru a split second, kicking off the ground with her center of gravity low as she neared she transferred her momentum into upward movement pulling a short thin dagger from under her apron cutting straight through Aria's hair while her other hand snakes around her waist pulling Aria into her grasp.
Aria watched as stray strands of her hair floated to the ground tears streaming down her face, her bawling filled the room but as the figure clasped its hand around Jūr she went silent, as the figure squeezed Jūr let out a pained shrill that seemed to resonate in Aria's mind.
Her eyes seemed to drill holes through the black-clad figure as it darted forward, raising a single finger she pointed towards the figure and with a voice reminiscent of a certain tree like being she screamed her heart out "LEAVE JŪR ALONE!"
The once stationary mana in the room became violent turning the room into a sea of dark ethereal colors…

Ares charged through the Freycliff ranks without fear, wherever he went the opposing side would stumble, freeze, or just run… no mortal had the guts to kill a god and he used it to his advantage cutting down any elf who was in his path… Sebas who realized that Ares would be a problem descended transforming back into his human form landed in front of Ares
"Huh? A human that can turn into a dragon? You, you will be my favorite pet," The smile smeared across Ares's face could only be described as disgusting. With a shake of his head Sebas spoke "My purpose is only to stall you, until the fall of your army… I only pray this would be finished before my King returns"
Swinging his sword at Sebas in a lackadaisical manner Ares questioned "Your kings not even here? If I had known it would be this easy to conquer new lands I would have come myself"
With an awkward sigh, Sebas blocked and parried every one of the god's strikes… However his expression darkened as he felt a mass of mana congregating near the castle, "Huh? She's already inside… Hmm that was quick"
Sebas could only put his hope into Haruhime, once the key is inside the lock… there is no path to the castle grounds… if only he checked them prior…
