章節 69: Saved

He could see the blood gushing out of Soojin's stab on her neck. But her eyes were still awake and he couldn't bear to kill the innocent woman to get the old man behind her.

"SOOJIN! CAN YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES FOR ME?"

He shouted to get her attention, but the woman twitching her body had her eyes rolling to the back of her head. She couldn't hear him anymore nor understand a word he said.

"You could have saved her if you obeyed me."

Mr. Ryo muttered while squatting behind Soojin. Her delirious state meant that she was at the edge of her life and he had to find a way fast to rescue her from the old man's clutch.

When he raised his hand and closed his fist, the lighted torches quickly burned out, darkening the whole cave again. And as soon as the pitch-black shrouded every corner of the pit, the sound of jars breaking echoed through the coved ceilings.

"Don't you dare hide from me!"
