章節 37: Chapter 35: Grayn
Dahil wala ng load si mama kagabi ngayon ko lang sya na publish. Natapos ko sya 8:40 PM.
Walter
I woke up feeling like shit. Ang sakit ng katawan ko, I woke up seeing a white ceiling, where am I?
"Anak finally you're awake!" I heard my mom's voice. Am I dreaming? Agad naman nya akong niyakap, napadaing ako damn ang sakit!
"Aray ma!"
She looked so worried. "Sorry anak, I'm just glad that you're already awake"
and then I remembered everything. Angelica and Felix kissing. Me driving do fast and then it struck me, I got into a car accident.
"How many d-days have I been asleep?" I asked
"A year brother" nanlaki naman ang mata ko sa sinabi ni Markus, he was sitting on one of the couches inside my room, while looking at me seriously.
"What the heck?!"
I can't believe it. I've been sleeping for a year?! It felt like it all happened yesterday!
He then laughed so damn hard "You should've seen your face kuya HAHAHHAHA- mom naman!"
he only stopped laughing ng batukan sya ni mama. We all stopped when the door opened I saw my dad and all 3 of his kids going inside my room, mom cleared her throat and went to sit with Markus. It was a relief when I didn't see his mistress. A little gi- well my sister ran to me I think she was 6 or 7 and started crying in my arms. She kept on saying "Kuya" habang umiiyak pa din all of us were silent, all you could hear inside my room were sobs. Gulat na gulat pa din ako, but I patted her back and caressed it slowly, she hugged me but made sure that it didn't hurt me.
I looked at everyone else inside and they were looking at us as well shock all over their faces, dad scratched his neck and spoke.
"She wanted to see you"
I nodded and continued comforting the little girl. She looked like me, well I look like my dad and this girl is my sister and she looks like my dad and I. I was looking at my girl version. I wanted to have a child too. A baby girl who would look like Angelica and I but it seems like that would be impossible already. This girls is my sister, not my daughter. I hugged her back and started crying too.
She looked sad and scared when she saw me cry kaya agad syang bumitaw sa akin at pumunta sa gilid ng kwarto ko where my dad and other sibling were standing.
"I'm sorry for hugging you po" she said almost whispering.
"N-No. It's okay" I smiled at her.
"We just wanted to check on you. I guess you're okay now s-son. We should go now baka nakakaabala kami sa inyo" My father turned his back at us again. Ang sakit he always did this, when he didn't feel comfortable he would always do this. He would leave us during events, and we would spend the night without him.
"Papa can we stay a bit longer" I heard my sister say
"No you're k-kuya needs to rest" I saw the little girl's eyes, she was about to cry again.
"Stop with your drama Ais papa said we need to go so let's go"
I think he's also my brother. Winston. He's 18 I guess, and I hated how he treated our younger sister.
"If you guys want to go leave. If the little girl wants to stay let her ipapahatid ko sya sa driver" I saw my little sister's eyes gleam. I smiled at her and asked her to come near me.
"O-Okay" my dad said. Nagulat nga ako ng lumapit si Xian kay Markus I think Markus was a year older, they started talking about video games kaya si papa at Winston lang ang umalis.
"Markus was just joking earlier, you've been asleep for 3 days and your father a-and other siblings have been visiting you too. I'll just get us something to eat downstairs okay"
I smiled at my mom and nodded. I looked at this pretty little girl beside me. Damn, she looks so much like me.
"I'm your Kuya Walter little girl, how about you what's your name?"
"I'm Grayn Aishely Arkinson. I am 6 years old. I love cooking and singing." she said with a big smile. She's just like me I love to sing and cook too.
"Wow that's nice, I love to sing and cook too"
She clapped her tiny hands, "Can you cook caldereta for me?"
"Sure the moment I get out of here we'll cook Caldereta together
"That's nice. Mommy hates to cook and yaya doesn't cook Caldereta since mommy hates it. It's my favorite kuya Walter and I haven't eaten Calderata since daddy became so busy with work"
I nodded my head grabe ang daldal nya palang bata. I always thought she's quiet kasi noon kapag nakikita ko sya she doesn't talk at all.
"I'm your kuya Walter. You can simply call me kuya."
She giggled "I know dad always tells me about you and I see you on tv too!"
"Really?" nagulat ako sa sinabi nya
"Ais diba papa told you not to tell anyone about that" Aishely rolled her eyes at Xian
"Xian, dad won't know if you won't tell him"
"How many times do I have to tell you Ais call me kuya okay"
"I'm two years older than you Xian, and you don't call me kuya" dagdag ni Markus
Aishely giggled and Xian rolled his eyes. Markus is 11, Xian is 9, while Aishely is 6.
"So as I was saying kuya Walter. Dad tells me a lot of stories about you. That's why before I even met you I like you already and you're myyyy brother! Kuya Markus also told me that you make the best Carbonara! I love Carbonara too, but my other classmates tell me na it's anemic spaghetti daw. Kuya what's anemic?"
I laughed so hard sa sinabi nya she lookes so innocent.
"Kuya Walter's not just your brother, he's our brother too Ais" Xian's like Markus he looked so serious pero paborito nyang mang-asar.
"Wag mo ng inisin Xian" I said
"Sorry kuya" bumalik na silang dalawa ni Markus sa paglalaro ng ML.
"wait dad even named Ais after you "Gray" ka kuya tapos si Ais "Grayn"."
Wow! How did I not think about that...
I couldn't believe what Xian said, patuloy pa din sa pagdaldal si Ais.
Did he really name Ais after me?
Hindi pa din matahimik si Walter sa sinabi sa kanya ni Xian. He badly wanted to believe what his brother said. He shifted from side to side on his hospital bed hindi sya makatulog. His mom and brother were both asleep sya lang talaga ang hindi makatulog. He decided to turn his phone on messages, missed calls, and notifications greeted him. He checked his social media accounts and saw a bunch of friend requests, messages, and notifications as well. Nakita nyang inadd sya ng kanyang mga kapatid sa Facebook even Ais had one! He didn't expect one notification though Angelica changed her profile and it was a picture of her and Felix, and their relationship status was gone too. Walter felt a pang of pain in his chest. Ang sakit his tears fell again and that night his decision was final.
"Cecil book me a flight to the US as soon as possible, and please do arrange my school transfer tomorrow morning."
(Sir pero hindi pa kayo magaling)
"Just do it Cecil." he heard his secretary sigh before speaking again
"Noted Mr. Arkinson"
It was very clear sa pananalita ng secretary nya na alam na nito ang nangyari sa kanila ni Angelica. He even chose Cecil as his secretary dahil kahit babae ito this woman had a family already despite her young age, he did all of those for Angelica.
Masakit man para kay Walter na umalis sa Pilipinas he can't just see Angelica and Felix together. They come from wealthy families and it was not impossible for them to see each other. She didn't even explain. She left, no screw that she replaced me with someone else. Someone from her past I thought she wanted to forget. First love never fcking dies huh.
A week later tinotoo talaga ni Walter ang plano nya.
"Anak hindi na ba namin mababago ang isip mo?"
He sighed he felt sorry for his mother the same week he was going to the US, his mother received her annulment papers.
"You guys can visit me anytime mom and I'll be leaving the company to you for the mean time while I study and work in the US"
He heard sobs around him it was Markus, Xian, and Ais silang tatlo umiiyak habang nakayakap sa binti ni Walter. He carried his little sister and hugged his other brothers.
"K-Kuya why are you l-leaving" patuloy pa din sa pag-iyak na sabi ni Ais
He wiped her tears "You won't understand kuya's reason Ais kasi bata ka pa"
They were already at the airport pinagtitinginan sila ng ibang tao but he didn't mind them instead he focused on the family he was going to leave minutes from now.
"Don't cry, princess. Kuya will be back and also you can visit Kuya anytime"
His sisters hug tightened he kneeled on the floor upang makausap nya ang dalawang kapatid na lalake.
"Boys don't forget to take care of yourselves and our princess okay. Marcus take care of mama ha you'll be Xian and Ais' big brother when I'm away be responsible okay. Wag na kayong umiyak diba you're both strong"
His brothers nodded.
US FLIGHT NOW BOARDING
He heard the announcement pati sya ay umiiyak na din, he hugged his family before turning his back at them he could hear his siblings crying and calling him. He couldn't turn back anymore dahil alam nyang may possibility na tumakbo sya pabalik sa kanila.
I'm sorry kung kailangan ko kayong iwan. Kuya needs to heal muna and when I come back I'm never gonna leave again.
Yan ang huling mga salita ang sinabi ni Walter bago sya sumakay sa eroplano na maghihiwalay sa kanya mula sa kanyang pamilya at pinakamamahal na babae. He loves Angelica even if she caused him pain but love wasn't the only thing he felt he felt anger and betrayal.
I'll be back and I'll crush you.
