I turn to face her.

"I seldom see him so worked up. This woman's slap must have juggled his bolts a bit," she adds, seeming amused at the unfolding situation.

True, I've never seen the major so…annoyed. I mean, I've seen him angry, I've seen him scary, but I've never seen him so irritated. This woman is getting on his nerves, and it shows.

"Well, he did get called an igwak's butt, that could annoy anyone," I reply, still marveling at the display before us. 

"Yes, that could do the trick," Lt. Song replies, still looking amused.
