章節 32: A History of Survival

The palace is surrounded by a great wall of fire, looming taller than the high walls of the place. The Galdonans did not exempt the royal homestead of the fiery fate. As if to provide a cruel case of irony, they poured oil all over the palace, and set the place ablaze, a reminded of exactly what is being fought over in this war. Smoke looms high over the sky, black and thick, ominous and angry. This day will be remembered in history, but for the wrong reason.

 The flames spread quickly, scaling the walls and gushing through the hallways, engulfing the place in an inferno. Smoke billowed from the palace, and the few who remained inside scampered to leave, only to be met by sure demise outside in the hands of waiting Galdonan forces.

 "Your highnesses, we should leave now. They've set the palace on flames," the guard says frantically.

 There are only two of them here, only two remaining to secure the three royals.
