CHAPTER START------
As my 'FLAMEWAVES' technique engulfs the room it appears as if crashing waves of flames are descending on the swarms of ants as if they were the shore and my magic was the uncaring unrelenting ocean. The entire room was incinerated and the screams of these massive ants began calling more and more of their allies to my position. Exactly what I had hoped for. I kept the waves flowing until they were thinned enough for me to start picking them off before entering the fray myself. As I stopped the flames I got up and brought my hands closer together with only a few inches between my palms that were facing each other and formed a small sphere before dividing it into 2, then 4, then 8, then 12. As I turned my palms towards the ant the 12 firebolts albeit weaker than one firebolt descended to their targets and most of them made contact.
'Looks like I still need to work on aim and power for the FIREBOLT-SWARM'. As the last of the ants on this part of the floor funneled into the rooms nearby from the sounds of combat I start boosting my movement and jumping through the rooms fighting them in close combat. They take more than one hit each unless I actually put some weight into my strikes but that's no concern for me. Between Mage Armor and AMP they can't touch me. Eventually, I fight my way through all the ants on the floor I come to the last few rooms only to be greeted with a light purple mist. As I look around carefully I see a swarm of purple moths 'heh, too bad for them I have abnormal resistance, still, it's not immunity so best to be quick'.I quickly form a FIREBOLT-BARRAGE followed by multiple smaller firebolts and clear the last few rooms.
My GUST technique is useful for clearing mist at least seeing as it's too weak to fight anything substantial. Thankfully increasing magic will increase all my elements at once. After clearing the last room of this floor and collecting the last crystals I sat by the tunnel to the 8th floor for a while to let my mana rebuild. If I can afford to spend some time resting I will of course do that, not like the monsters are going anywhere. As I'm resting I decided to assess my gear and thankfully id doesn't seem to be affected by my flames.
For the most part, I'm keeping my flames away from my gear but sometimes I can't help it when my Mage Armor coats my arms and the gauntlets get enveloped, I have to remember to not miss any Hellhounds when if I get the chance. As I finish resting I slowly get up and make my way down to the 8th floor. I'm not rushing this time, those ants took more than one hit to kill so I'll take the next floors slowly. 'I wonder if I can make it to the safe zone in one go? Would that be a new record to do that solo at level 2?'.
Stepping into the 8th floor once again I was met with silence. The only thing in sight within the massive cavern system was a black mound slowly moving around in the silence. Unsure of what the heck it is I slowly place my hands together and make a firebolt for the sake of testing it. Launching the firebolt to my surprise the monster dodges it by jumping to the left 'Ok that's new, guess this is a lower floor but that is one agile bea...'. As Yang's thoughts were about to identify the creature as a bear its head does a complete 180 Degree turn and stares at him with the face of an owl. As the remainder of its body also turns around without breaking eye contact it stands up and comes to a tower height of 14 feet. Black and grey fur and feathers under its arms giving the appearance of wings with claws at the ends of its 4 limbs.
Its owl head stares at him before it drops to all 4 limbs and quickly rushes at him with incredible speed. Reacting quickly Mage Armor and AMP come into action as he quickly Boost Jumps closer to the ceiling of the cave a full 30ft into the air and begins to rain FIREBOLTS down onto the monster. The monster reels in pain before it releases a screech which echoes throughout the cavern system before Yang uses his flames and propels himself downward and plants both his feet into the monster with the use of the flames on his back and shoulders propelling him down. Completely incinerating the monster and burying him ankle-deep into the rock floor.
"Ahhh shit that hurt feels like my legs almost broke, I didn't expect it to just pop like that".As he slowly pulls himself out of the ground he is ever so thankful for his new boots which greatly softened that impact on his body as well as Mage Armor reducing even more of the damage he would have taken. He slowly makes his way through the 8th floor with the use of the Hunter skill and fights owlbear after owlbear in multiple caverns until he reaches the last room with 2 owlbears. Until this point, they had only been by themselves but this was different. He had seen how agile these things were and decided not to get close at all, his magic has fire and fire affects entire areas so he placed his palms close together and with a thought, he yelled "FIREBALL" and completely incinerated the room and anything in it.
As Yang could later be seen descending out of a tunnel as he enters a new floor he can be seen dusting feathers off his body and mumbling.
Yang: "Stupid damn bears these damn feathers don't get off me and now I smell like blood ugh,2 floors of the damn agile bear, owl, things whatever they are."
Yang spent the second floor of owlbears in unarmed combat to allow his mana to refill naturally and unfortunately, things got messy. As Yang kept mumbling to himself he walked through the 11th floor until a soft thump stopped him in his tracks. As he looked up he saw what was apparently an adorable rabbit monster, then a second one appeared next to it, then another and another. Before he realized it he was surrounded by 30 Almirajs. Slowly a smile formed on his face as he spoke.
Yang: "Trust me, you don't want this fight little guys."
Not even moments after he spoke the monsters began rushing him at once.
Yang: "Warned you. PYRO-NOVA!"
As an explosion of flame originated from his body everything in the room was quickly incinerated leaving only Yang and the monster crystals littering the floor of the room.
Yang: "Well that's boring but honestly I'm ready to just get to the 18th floor."
He proceeds to use PYRO-NOVA on repeat with the same strategy to clear every room he goes to on the 11th floor until he quickly reaches the end of the floor and sees the tunnel to the 12th floor. As he sees the tunnel he thinks back to the previous floors, 'I've been stomping everything this far, right, so getting to the 18th floor should be easy. Might as well just go and rush it instead of wasting an entire hour here waiting. I swear if it's more rabbits I'm gonna be so annoyed, going around finding the scattered crystals is annoying'. And so he proceeded without resting to restore any of his mana. This was his first mistake during this expedition, one that he will not soon forget.
CHAPTER END------
Have some idea about my story? Comment it and let me know.
---A short chapter here but it's mostly just a situation that his magic will be perfect for, I won't make it a habit of him stomping out everything too easily but his magic is very versatile and the first set of floors are weak to fire. Also, bell could solo up to floor 5 before the difficulty in the dungeon raised with new monsters. Trust the writer on this one. I got this.
