You know that one person that you absolutely adore, however love them so much that you'd kill for them? Even, die for them?
That was you, Y/N.
I killed for you.
My only true regret was that we didn't get longer together, that our newfound love was brief and shortlived. Or maybe I'll love you until the end of time.
Life has a funny way of kicking you down and then laughing in your face, rubbing salt in a deep, bloody gash.
That deep gash being the one straight through your sternum. The place you promised we'd get matching tattoos on. Where you had that strange birth mark of what resembled a butterfly in flight. I gathered it was a beautiful one.
Perhaps a morpho.
You always told me that we were meant to be. An abstrosity to society, villain and hero, yet you believed soul and heart, in us.
In fact, ever since I laid my eyes on you, I knew you were the one for me. The one I'd kill the leader of the League of Villains for, the one I'd kill to preserve you. To keep you being mine.
Maybe that counts as possessive, obsessive and absurd, however, since when was I one to care what the rest of Japan thought?
I'm willing to kill you, and die for you, all at once.
Do you remember ten years ago, when Hawks thought he could have you? When all the two of you did was argue? You know, killing him was one of many items on my bucket list. He didn't deserve you, nobody does, that's why I did what had to be done...
What nobody else was willing to do for you.
Maybe you don't forgive me for taking your life away now, without choice, though I know you'll look back on this in another life and forgive me. And thank me, even.
For freeing you from the cuffs that was life. A life that beat you down until you were nothing but a pile of shrivelled up cells. Drained of life.
Fortunately, I picked you up. I gave you the breath of freedom and freshness. I gave you a second chance. I gave you the kiss of life.
