"I never seen him warm up to people before until you showed up. You made him come out of his own and he got close to you on his own accord. I'm surprised."
"I'm surprised too. I didn't know he was like that until you told me. By the way, why did his name called Kimchi?"
"Ah, that, remembering it makes me laugh. Because I'm afraid of him getting lost somewhere in my restaurant, I took it home with me. When I took it home by the third day, it happens to be my family reunion dinner. And we're having dinner at my house. My nephew was ten years old and at that time, my family bought a fermented cabbage called kimchi for dinner."
The onwer was all smiles when she recalling her memories last week.
"When they saw Kimchi, my nephew asked what his name was. I didn't give him a name because I didn't know what to call him. I tried different names before but he wouldn't respond. My nephew said that it was sad that the puppy didn't have a name and therefore he tried calling him different names. And guess what? My nephew tired when he gave different names to Kimchi and eventually he got hungry and shouted 'I want to eat kimchi'. When Kimchi heard the word 'kimchi', he wagged his tail."
Lu Jingyi could tell what will happened after the owner told her story.
"I was surprised to see he wagged his tail because after I brought him with me, he never showed anything in interest. I tried saying kimchi and he wagged his tail again. And I thought he liked the word kimchi and therefore, his name is Kimchi."
"I wondered why he like the word 'kimchi'?"
"I wondered too all the time since his name called Kimchi. Here, you can hold him."
Lu Jingyi picked Kimchi up from the owner's arm. Kimchi settled down on her arms and looked her in the eyes.
He wagged his tail in excitement and went licking her face.
"See, he likes you more than me."
The owner was kind of jealous, she was the one who saved him but he didn't warm up to her. Sob sob. Sad.
"How old is he?"
"I think two to three months old."
Lu Jingyi looked at this cute little furry creature called Kimchi in her arms. She stroked him gently and Kimchi snuggled up to her.
Mo Zhexuan came out and saw Lu Jingyi was talking to the owner while hugging a puppy in her arms.
This side of her was beautiful. She looked like an angel in his eyes. By the time she put down Kimchi, she saw Mo Zhexuan came out.
Kimchi was not reluctant to let go. He kept crying out and it gets louder each cry. He looked so pity.
"What wrong with him?"
Mo Zhexuan couldn't figure out why did the puppy crying.
"Well, he couldn't bear to let go of Miss." the owner answered.
Mo Zhexuan then had this great idea in his head.
"Can I adopt him?"
Lu Jingyi had a big question mark on her head. Why did he suddenly want to adopt Kimchi?
"Of course, sir. You can."
After that, the onwer picked up Kimchi and congratulated him.
"That's good for you, Kimchi. This Mister here wanted to adopt you."
"His name is Kimchi?"
"Yes, sir."
"Why do you suddenly wanted to adopt him?"
"He likes you. You can visit him anytime in my house. Do you bear to leave him?"
"Well, no."
"Then, that's settled it."
Lu Jingyi was speechless. That was a fast decision he made.
