章節 133: A Puppy

"No, silly. I was just surprised and you were just too adorable for me to face you that's all."

And she thought he was mad at her. That's a relief.

While they were hugging, a puppy came in between them. It appeared that the puppy also wanted a hug.

"Arf, arf"

The puppy ran in circle wagging its tail begging with his cute puppy eyes. And not long after he was done circling around, the other dogs and cats came too.

Both of them chuckled at their furry friends. Lu Jingyi then picked the one circling around them and hugged it on her arms.

The puppy then licked her face with its tongue in excitement.

Mo Zhexuan, on the other hand, was being surrounded by cats instead of dogs especially female cats.

The female cats all rubbing to his legs and wanted to put their scents on Mo Zhexuan marking him as theirs.

Dogs, however, sat near him like a knight protecting its king.

The owner, who was far away, watched the scene with full of interest. The owner herself smiled as her pets liked her their customers.

Thanks to Mo Zhexuan and Lu Jingyi, she made a big profit. She could have some days off to herself and go for a family vacation.

Mo Zhexuan didn't know how to deal with the cats which they kept rubbing their heads to his legs.

"It seems you're quite popular with felines. Look, they all marking their property on you."

"And I wish those felines are you."

"Huh?"

"That way, I will always be yours."

Why did he always like to twist her words everytime she talk? And she couldn't even refute.

Every word he said was giving her heart a sudden fast beating which she couldn't stop it. She then changed topics out of shyness.

"The yogurt is going to melt. Let's eat it before it completely melts."

Mo Zhexuan wanted to move but he almost tripped himself due to the cats that kept rubbing to his legs. He slowly removed himself from the cats and sat down.

The cats followed him and continued to rub to him. When will it end? He thought.

His expression changed into a helpless look and Lu Jingyi was secretly laughing at him inside her heart.

When they finished eating, Mo Zhexuan went to the restroom and changed out of his outfit while Lu Jingyi was talking to the onwer of the restaurant

"Do you want to take this little one home? He has taken a liking to you. He keeps following you around wherever you go."

"Oh, no. I couldn't. I don't know how to raise a dog."

"It's okay. It takes time and I think he can't bear you to leave him too."

"How so?"

"His name is Kimchi. He was here just by a week. His family all died in hunger leaving him the only survival. He almost died but I managed to save him when I coincidently found him. He was still a baby at that time, much smaller than now. He's so weak and needed injection when I sent him to the vet."

"I didn't know such lovely puppy like him had a tragic life."

"Yes. And because of that, he may feel scare in his surrounding and insecure. When I introduced him to my other pets, he was so scared that he hid somewhere to avoid any contact with the other pets. Although my cats and dogs were friendly to him, he still have not open his heart to this place. Even I need to persuade him to eat. It was difficult but I managed to give him proper meals. Whenever a customer comes, he would not show himself and just hide somewhere."

Lu Jingyi looked at the puppy who begged her to carry him moments ago. She couldn't imagine that he was the puppy the owner talked about because he didn't seem like he dislike strangers.
