Xu Wenwen was irritated to see Lu Jingyi kept laughing at her. She really wanted to punch her in the face.
"Haha....sorry..I..I..haha..."
Lu Jingyi couldn't stop herself from laughing out loud. It was too funny to even stop. Her hands were on her stomach because she was laughing too hard and her stomach hurt a little.
Xu Wenwen's face was getting darker as Lu Jingyi won't stop laughing. What kind of friend was she laughing at her like a joke?
"Are you done?"
"Haha...I...I'm done. Right. I'm done laughing."
Although Lu Jingyi stopped laughing, she couldn't stop smiling. Xu Wenwen rolled her eyes and glared at her.
Both of them finally calmed down and continued to enjoy their meal. After the meal, they waited for their desserts to come.
"I'd never thought someone would immediately proposed to someone they've just met. Maybe it's love at first sight. I mean, he's not a bad guy though."
Lu Jingyi's impression of Mo Zhexi was quite good because of Mo Zhexuan. She thought since they were siblings, he should not be the type of person who would play others' feelings.
"Who in the world will propose to someone they've just met!!?? The procedures are all wrong. Even the quintuplets were better."
"Oh... So you prefer someone like the quintuplets rather than Mo Zhexi? Interesting."
Xu Wenwen was someone who didn't like rushing things. She prefered slow pace in everything. Her motto was slow and steady win the race.
It didn't matter if it's her carreer or her love life. Rushing things would mean it's not that important.
"Well, good luck. From Mo Zhexi's expression, he is determine to win you over. What would you do?"
"I don't know. I hope he won't bother me while I'm working. This is the first time someone proposed to me at the first meeting. It's kind of intersting but I won't give in."
"Why?"
"Because I don't know who he really is. Besides, I'm afraid it would end up like last time. I'm still not ready yet."
Xu Wenwen started to sulk while thinking back her past with her ex-boyfriend. Lu Jingyi was heartbroken for her friend. She knew what happened to them in the past.
The atmosphere between them became gloomy all of the sudden. After a while, desserts were served and the bad mood was instantly wiped away.
Desserts indeed have power to cheer people up especially girls.
"Don't think about it anymore. It's not your fault. Here. Have my dessert too. It's delicious. Matcha flavour."
"Mm. Okay."
Lu Jingyi was glad that she cheered up. She scolded herself quietly in her heart that she accidentally reminded her of her past.
Xu Wenwen always put on a brave face to hide her weaknesses. She was cheerful most of the time. If she was sad or wanted to cry, she won't show it.
She would put up a front and waited when nobody's around her. She would then find a place quietly to cry and let it all out. Lu Jingyi always found her and accompanied her till she's calmed down.
After having desserts, Lu Jingyi offered to stay the night in Xu Wenwen's home. She also texted Mo Zhexuan not to pick her up in the morning.
Tomorrow's her big day and she couldn't wait for it.
