"Thank God," Stefan said when Cayenne came out of the emergency room, half an hour after she was sent in. The nurses were currently pushing the stretcher to transfer her to the VIP room. "I thought I'd lose you and the baby. I was really scared." 

"Sorry," Cayenne muttered with tears in her eyes. Realization sank deep into her brain and it also scared her that she did something reckless for their child. "I was just really shocked by the news. I really tried to hold it in but my emotions overpowered my rationality. I'm sorry. I also want to apologize to Carla, is she okay?" 

"Carla is fine. She was checked already and although she isn't injured or wounded, she'd probably get bruises."
