Marvel pushed the bed and rose, his arms wrapping my frame. When he came forward, my back fell to the bed with a faint thud, and our positions were flipped in an instant.

"You look so distracted even though I'm right here in front of you," he complained, trying to steal my focus as he was above me this time. "What are you thinking about?"

While concealing my nervousness, I acted as if his behavior didn't affect me.

"I just remembered it's almost time for you to have breakfast, Sir," I absent-mindedly replied, glancing at the clock.

There was an unfriendly silence, an absence of sound that made the air around Marvel almost unapproachable.

"I don't know if you do it on purpose, but sometimes, you say the most foolish thing, Angelo," he sighed, frowning in disbelief. "I start to wonder if you once worked for an intelligence organization."

"That was… rude…" Much to my dismay, I turned to him again with a frown.
