A loud crash filled the entire corridor when Marvel and I fell to the floor. The last thing I remembered after I shouted out his name was pushing him back as hard as I could.

I leaned against his chest on the floor, one of his arms was around my body while he stretched the other upon the ceiling, his fingers wrapping a handgun he had pulled out of his pocket. Once he noticed it was a sniper's bullet, he took away the lights in the hallway to make the attacker unable to see inside the house.
