I had to thank Marvel for my pain and misery, but I also brought them to myself, so I didn't entirely harbor my bitterness toward him.

He is what he is - he saw like a person who could never look past his own reflection. Of course, he had been the star of his own world - he was the only one truly in there. Perhaps, if my eyes were like that, then I would be just like him. But, my eyes had always taken in the light from every angle to find the detail he couldn't, so even though I hated him, I declined to be a part of his life.

Hating him is plenty enough.

The mistakes in my life were like tears that stained my face. There were many more days and nights when I wasn't sure if I would get my real smile back again, but it was all proof that I had tried to live my life being myself.
