Max bangs on the door. "Open the door Maverick! Open it and drop this act right now!" He slams his hand against the door again but to no avail. "Maverick if mother finds out about it, she is not going to let it slide easily," Max warns him and in return, he heard a chuckle from the other side. 

"Mother would be the one to open the locks for you after the will is finalized so don't worry brother. Just make peace with everything." Maverick suggests with amusement in his voice.

He suddenly was reminded of David and now he understands what he went through, why he held so much grudge for him and his family, why he never trusted him and always looked at him bitterly. He now empathizes with him.
