However, during the meeting, the designer who had been covering for her didn't show up. Lu Weixi had been waiting to hear her report, and her absence complicated things for Weixi.

Not only that, but Lu Weixi felt that the atmosphere of the meeting was rather odd. It seemed like everyone was hiding something, as if they were keeping something from her.

Luckily, the designer's assistant and Xiaochen had tied up loose ends decently, and her leave hadn't been that long. She was able to get things back on track. But once the meeting was over, Lu Weixi's expression instantly clouded over.
