Daksha's POV:
After Aarna left, Yuktha and I started laughing while looking at each other.
"It's really fun to tease her," she said in between her laughs and I nodded at her as I couldn't agree with her more.
"When I called her yesterday morning, she informed me that she was at her grandparent's house and would come back next week. I forgot to ask her about it. Why did she return so early?" I asked with a frown
" I don't know about it as well. Last night, her brother dropped her at the apartment and ordered me to take care of her instead of requesting me. Such an arrogant fellow," she said with so much annoyance.
"Stop exaggerating. Indra Anna is not at all like how you have described. He might have said it out of concern for his sister,"
I supported Indra Anna as I know how sweet he can be with everyone except with her and the rivalry between them is not at all a news, though we all don't know the reason for that.
"Yeah. He is the first person to express his concern for others with such a straight face as if he is interrogating a criminal. Let me tell you what his exact words were. 'She has become so thin. Mind you, take care of her'. Now tell me, should I consider that as a warning or as a request?" She said irritably.
"Girl, aren't you overreacting a bit? Okay, leave it. Let me go to my room. I will rest for a while after freshening up," saying I shook my head and started walking towards my room.
"You never believe me when it comes to him. Right, how will you believe me when he acts all sweet in front of you all," she complained, folding her hands in front of her chest and turning her face to the other side.
Seeing her throwing a tantrum, I knew very well that I had to pacify her first otherwise who knew how long she would be sulking.
"Got to handle a bunch of kids. God! Why did you give me kids instead of friends?" muttering under her breath, Daksha started walking back to pacify her friend.
"Okay. I believe you. Now give me your stupid smile," I said while tickling the sides of her waist, making her laugh. When I saw that she was cooled off to some exstartedI stated the actual issue.
"Ohh, by the way, I won't go to the hospital today. If that company calls, you handle the matter. I am going to my room," I said after informing her about the details of the deal to which she nodded her head.
"Okay. Get some sleep. I will handle this matter. Anyway, I am going to leave for the hospital now. Bye. Eat something after waking up," saying this she waved her hand and left through the main door while I followed her to lock the door from inside.
After Yuktha left, Daksha freshened up and slumped down on the bed before slipping into a deep slumber.

Arjun's POV:
After I left the airport, we both reached the court in no time. My assistant arranged a simple breakfast and I had it quickly. The trial started. I was a plaintiff.
The trial was not at all unfolding according to my plan, making me groan in frustration under his breath.
The defendant was leaving no chance to get the case postponed again. But I didn't want that to happen. This case had been going on in the court for a long time and I didn't want to drag it anymore.
So, I started with my counterattacks as fiercely as much as I could. Finally, the court canceled the petition of the defendant and announced that the verdict would be announced that day itself.
After an hour-long break, the verdict was announced and the accused was punished. I was very satisfied with the result and my client's family was so happy that they kept on praising my abilities.
By the time I left the court, it was already evening. I asked my assistant to cancel my schedule for the rest of the day and dismissed him saying that he could go home on his own.
After getting into my car, I started driving it, intending to go to my company to meet Dhruv and to tell him about the details of the contract personally before going home.
When I reached the office, most of the employees had already left. Only a few were present there, who intended to work overtime.
Nodding slightly at the employees who greeted me on the way, I went inside the private elevator and reached Dhruv's office.
Seeing me, Dhruv, who was working on his laptop, stood up from his seat and moved ahead to give me a brotherly hug.
After talking casually for a while, I started explaining the details of the happenings in Melbourne and discussed the deal which they had signed.
While explaining to him, I tiredly rubbed my forehead and blinked my eyes to wash away the somnolence.
I didn't even have time to rest for a bit as I directly went to the court from the airport for a hearing and further came to the office immediately after the court session.
Dhruv must have noticed my exhaustion as he urged me to go home after glancing at the clock.
I obeyed him and started for home. I am still living with my family in the same mansion.
After reaching home, I saw my mom and sister were sitting with the dishes spread out on the dining table. Upon seeing me, they both walked up to me and hugged me.
Mom asked me to join them to have dinner. Though all I wanted was some good rest, I couldn't say 'no' after looking at their expectant faces.
So, I agreed and told them that I would join them shortly after freshening up and started climbing the stairs to go to my room.
By the time I came down, both were already waiting for me at the dining table. I took my seat while mom served me the food.
The dinner went on with the usual chitchatting of my mom and Ammu, occasionally involving me in their chattering to which I answered in monosyllables.
After having dinner, we all sat in the living room. I asked Ammu about her studies and inquired about my mother's health. At the end of the night, I retired to my room.
After entering the room, I sat on my bed with my head leaning against the headboard. I had some wild thoughts running in my mind.
I know that I am not doing a great job at being a son and a brother, but it doesn't mean that I love them any less.
I love them a lot and can give up even my life for them. Though I admitted to myself I kept forgetting how to express my love as time went by.
After losing my dad, who was a great support system for me, life never went easy on me. Every responsibility fell on my shoulders.
With the heartbreak, pains, and struggles in my way, I became somewhat aloof and cold over time. I became numb to everything.
I had stopped caring for others except for my family and friends. I was even lacking in expressing my feelings to others including my own family.
Though I was glad that I got an understanding family who was always there to support me, that behavior of them always make me guilty of my actions towards them. Even though we weren't facing any problems and were well settled, we weren't emotionally happy.
We lost our happiness along with our dad. Years had passed, but deep in our hearts, we still mourn his death.
I sighed, picked up a blanket, adjusted myself in a supine position, and tried to get some good night's sleep.
