"I love you… and I'll sleep now,'' Alanor said as he kissed Unar's forehead, before he fell asleep on his mate's lap, leaving Unar and Ulrike with their questions. 

Unar looked at Alanor, gently trusting him, believing in him, and knowing that nothing would ever happen to him with Unar. Unar loved this trust and Alanor hadn't lied when he said he trusted Unar, but that didn't mean Unar would pretend like he didn't have questions. 

Ulrike was staring at the two mates, and for a moment there, his heart leaped with joy from the beautiful and wholesome sight. He could see how safe Alanor felt with Uran and a part of him was grateful for that. 

Sure, Alanor had always received love from the Wynter team, but there was a kind of love that only Unar Stitt could give him and the sight before him was proof that Alanor had found comfort in his mate bond, and he couldn't be any happier for the kid.
