章節 38: 'Invisible Leash'

As the Devourer collected himself once again, he was back on his four legs and began swirling his tendril-like tail, a perpetual flame was lit on the tip of it. This time Electric powers crackled through its skin and he whimpered in the void.

The Devourer darted towards us, with a terrorizing verve and a permanent smirk. His enlarged eyes stared at me with an infernal madness and another whimper of joy escaped from his eerie mouth. One could tell that he had become more powerful.

There was something that constantly bothered me; his eyes, they stared into mine.

"You said he can't see, right?" I queried while keeping my eyes fixed on the devourer's because he didn't move towards us when I did that.

"Yeah, he can't," Tyler answered.

"He can only sense people's fear and eat them up," Wiola added.

"But... he's looking at me..." I mumbled.

"What?" Tyler queried.

"He's looking right at me," I asserted.
