章節 38: Complications
Cripple looked at her father for quite sometime, it was so awkward and funny right now. Here her father was before her, and she didn't know that she had a father. It was probably like that for so many others.
But it made sense to why she was already conscious when she was born. Only cause her parents had to of been conscious as well.
Ahnyx remained quiet as he watched Gullet who was happily running around Cripple's feet.
"What are you going to do with that rex?", asked her father glancing at her.
Cripple looked at Gullet as she responded, "I guess I will keep him."
"What will happen when he grows up and kills you."
Cripple looked at her father in light surprise, of course he would be against her keeping a blind rex. Truth be told it hurt her feelings, but she can't just leave the little one.
Besides he has gotten use to following her.
"I don't think he will.", replied Cripple looking down.
Ahnyx gave a brief smile, "Why be against her? I think it will be okay! Besides, I am sure he can help us when he is older?"
"You don't know the blind like I do. They will turn against you in a blink of an eye. Once they are large enough and strong enough they will turn against you."
Cripple looked at her father with a look of sadness, but that was what all the elders have always said. It had happened so many times before, and that was why they were so adamant against the idea of raising a orphaned blind beast.
It was a risky gamble and almost always someone pays the price in the end.
"I can't leave him alone.", spoke Cripple looking at her father. "Please understand?"
Ahnyx looked at Cripple with a kind look in his eyes, probably moved by her and her choice.
"Fine, but once he gets bigger I hope to see you change your mind."
Her father had reasons, and she knew that. He was alone and faced the world alone as well. The world hadn't been kind to him from the looks of it. Though life was never always kind to anyone.
Cripple sighed softly as her father walked further ahead, he was upset with her decision.
"It will be alright.", spoke Ahnyx looking at her. "I am sure he won't kill you."
Cripple had that funny feeling again about Ahnyx, "Why do you say that?"
Ahnyx gave her a rather good sized smile, "Just a feeling."
Cripple stared at him curiously, he was so odd.
From her clan that was taken from her, from what she remembered there was a odd female that spoke of strange stuff. She would go on and on about the clan going to perish.
Of course no one believed her, and neither did she at first.
The night before the raid happened that female fled, and she watched her leave. Who would of thought that her being odd actually saved her life. That or she had some kind of foresight?
Did Ahnyx have the same thing?
The only reason she thought this was that when she talked to that female, she would always feel funny. Like her instincts were trying to tell her something, it was like a feeling of danger went over her but it really was not danger.
Such a odd thing.
As Cripple followed her father she couldn't help but feel better by Ahnyx and his words.
As the night diminished and the rays of the sun broke the sky did it bring a sense of ease. The night always hid the many blind beasts like a cloak, but once the sun appears can many feel a bit safer. By being able to see was the difference between dying or living.
The clan of Bloodmaw were well, but they had company early that morning.
Bloodmaw looked at Dreadtooth quite surprised, it was further surprising to see him with his daughter. Perhaps, he wanted his daughter to meet his two sons?
"Dreadtooth, How are you?", asked Bloodmaw with respect.
Dreadtooth smirked at him, "I am well. I know I said that we would meet again when they were teens but my daughter wishes to see your boys."
Bloodmaw looked at his daughter and was surprised, she was a spitting image of her father. She was quite slim in body structure, and had a white silky looking plumage around her neck and chest.
Dreadtooth's daughter had appealing lavender eyes, and was white in body with a black colorations to her face. She was no doubt going to be large in size like her father when she was older.
Bloodmaw looked at his two sons and called them over.
Lesion ran over but he moved to fast that he went to stop but fell upon his face. "Oof!"
Dreadtooth's daughter blinked and she giggled softly at Lesion.
Jr walked over curiously but blinked when he saw Dreadtooth's daughter. "..."
Dreadtooth looked at Bloodmaw as he said, "I will leave Fiala here with you. I will come back this evening and get her."
Bloodmaw nodded as he watched Dreadtooth walk away. "We will keep her safe."
Dreadtooth smirked as he glanced over at him before continuing onward.
Bloodmaw looked at Fiala kindly, "How are you?"
Fiala looked up at him and she smiled softly, "I am fine thank you."
Lesion stood up and shook his head before laughing, Jr looked at his father silently.
Bloodmaw nodded before blinking when a loud stomp occurred behind him.
Turning his head did he notice Adder walking away from a unconscious Gambit. Bloodmaw tilted his head confused before looking at the three youngsters. "Well, you guys have fun getting to know each other."
Fiala nodded with a smile, Lesion looked at Fiala a little shyly. Jr frowned looking down in silence, clearly still upset about the whole agreement.
Adder looked at Nina who was still giggling, "What?"
"Did you have to stomp on him?", Nina asked curiously though she was tickled about it.
Adder gave her a stern look, "Yes."
Nina smiled softly at him, "Okay."
Belle looked at Gambit as she poked him, "?"
Devastate smirked having saw what happened.
Grim snorted walking off to scout around the area, while Scarface followed him.
Helm and Dingo decided to join Grim and Scarface, feeling better just in case something happens.
Harmony laid beside Lockjaw glad to have him beside her.
The clan didn't have to worry much on food or water so they all could relax or do whatever they wanted. Since the camp was larger than before, if many more wished to join then they wouldn't have to worry about the camp being cramped.
Bloodmaw was keeping an eye out on everyone including the youngsters, he had to since Dreadtooth's daughter was here. If anything were to happen to her there was no telling what Dreadtooth would do.
Swiftscale took this moment to try and share his feelings, he was overly nervous. Was it to soon? He should ask but was it the time?
The baryoynx walked over to Ebony with his heart beating fast. This was the first time he would be asking someone out.
Ebony was not a baryoynx but he hoped that she didn't mind.
Swiftscale tapped on Ebony's shoulder and as she turned around did he freeze up. "E-Ebony..?"
"Yes?", replied Ebony tilting her head. She blinked as she said, "You alright? You look uncomfortable?"
Swiftscale shook his head, "I am fine! I just want to ask you a...!"
Ebony blinked in surprise as Swiftscale was grabbed from behind by a large smiling Ruby. "So cute~!"
Ebony blinked before laughing, Swiftscale looked a little annoyed. So much for going to ask her.
Gambit woke up with a irritated expression, "Son of a triceratops horn...!" Groaned the raptor.
Belle giggled, "Oh you're alive!"
Gambit looked at her slowly before getting up, of course Nina or Harmony told Adder what he had said. To him Nina was supposedly beautiful but he was certain that he had just said that without thinking. The only way he could figure it out is if he talked with Nina again.
There was not a chance that he was drawn to her, right?
Fiala smiled at Lesion and Jr, "So, I have the honor to marry one of you?"
Lesion stumbled over his words, "Y-Yeah!"
Jr looked at her as he said, "How do you feel about this?"
Fiala tilted her head, "What do you mean?"
Lesion looked at Jr some what confused, "Are you sure you should be asking that?"
Fiala giggled at Lesion, she even looked at him in a kind way.
Jr frowned looking at Lesion before continuing, "Your dad is forcing you to marry doesn't that make you mad?"
Fiala shook her head, "Nope! My father knows best! Besides I want to get married so that our clans can become one!"
Lesion somewhat blushed lightly at Fiala, he couldn't help but smile goofily to her.
The end of the world was going to happen, Lesion was smitten!
"Lesion!", spoke Jr loudly which made Lesion jump. "W-What!?!"
Fiala giggled at Lesion before looking at his missing arm, "What happened to your arm!?!"
Lesion blinked before laughing, "I fought a blind beast off!"
Jr narrowed his eyes at him, "You almost got eaten you mean?"
Lesion laughed, "No way!"
Fiala laughed in delight before walking up to Lesion and smiling, "I like you!"
Lesion blinked, "R-really!?!"
Jr looked at the two of them confused and even more upset, "Guys!?!"
Jr's words would fly upon the wind as Lesion and Fiala walked off together smiling and giggling. He didn't like knowing what would happen to his brother, there was no telling. Jr looked down, he didn't want his brother to be married.
Even if it brought the clans together it would be so different! He wanted his family to stay together!
Jr frowned closing his eyes, he would have to do something to stop this. Though he knew that his father would get in his way. Was this really a good thing to have happen?
Belle looked at the two youngsters who walked by, Lesion and Fiala were loudly giggling and talking. She looked after them before looking at Devastate, she looked down before smiling getting up and approaching him.
Belle happily walked over and she smiled up at the behemoth, "Hey!"
Devastate looked at her confused, "Hm?"
Belle smiled pointing at Lesion and Fiala, "Can we do that too?"
Devastate looked to where she was pointing and he did a double take at her before looking away shyly. This reaction made her look up at him confused, "You don't want too?"
Devastate looked at her with a heated red nose, "..."
Belle jumped and Devastate flinched when the both of them heard a snicker. The laughter came from Gambit, though he was intelligent he sure didn't learn his lesson when it happened before to him.
Gambit blinked taking notice of a looming shadow over him, and before he could run was he stomped again by Devastate. "URGH!?!"
Belle looked at Devastate in pure surprise before laughing as she covered her mouth with both of her petite hands.
The behemoth snorted loudly before picking up on Belle's laughter and he looked away becoming even more embarrassed as he walked away from her. Belle looked up fast and ran after him still giggling, "Wait!?! Devastate!?!"
Bloodmaw watched what was happening in his clan with a funny expression, everyone sure got along some what? He was glad that they did, his eyes shifted to see Lesion with Fiala and he looked bewildered. Were they getting along?
Lesion had volunteered to marry her, and from the looks of it he seemed happy. There was no doubt, Lesion would be the perfect match for Fiala since she looked to be extremely happy with him.
When they become teens, and if Lesion actually comes to fall in love with her then it would work out. Not only would he be safe, but he would be with the person who he loves.
Bloodmaw couldn't help but smile at that thought, though that just meant that Lesion would have to work extra hard to please Dreadtooth only cause when Lesion ran over did Dreadtooth look at him in a different way.
It was with the look of unacceptance.
Bloodmaw didn't know why he looked at Lesion like that but perhaps he left her here in hopes of her falling for Jr. Was it cause he was missing a arm? Or was it cause Jr was the one that he wants marrying his daughter?

ThatAGurlBlue So it would seem that Dreadtooth doesn't like Lesion being around his daughter, which probably isn't good news. What will happen afterwards? Will Bloodmaw be able to help train Lesion to be the perfect fit for marriage? Read to find out!
