He spat the words venomously at her with a gaze just as poisonous.

A spell of silence reigned over the room for a couple of seconds as the only two occupants of the table sat there glaring at one another; one halting her eating and the other his drinking.

"And what do you mean by that?" Alaina gritted thru her straight white teeth, controlling herself from growling at him.

"If you have something to say to me Azai, I suggest you say that on my face, don't be a coward and hide behind shit like taunts; it is not a good look on you." she was able to not growl but hardly stopped herself from grumbling out.
