章節 48: At Hawaii
The crew landed in Hawaii.
Without delay, Momo pulled them along a lengthy tour. She had been to many different countries throughout her life, although she would always complain and want to stay with Diluc.
This time, it paid off.
She brought them to a few expensive restaurants, a VIP beach she promised they'd be able to use later and finally, brought them to an extremely tall and expensive looking hotel in the middle of the most expensive region in Hawaii.
"May I ask what room number you reside in?" The female receptionist asked politely.
"613" Momo responded. The receptionist nodded.
"Here's the key. You're on the 6th floor, follow the left after you get out of the elevator." The receptionist spoke.
They ascended the floors using the elevator and soon ended up on the 6th floor. After a small walk, they were in front of '613'. The door opened after recognizing Momo's face.
The luxurious room revealed itself to the large family. Every square inch of the room had been cleaned to perfection, the materials that everything were made of screamed 'Exotic'. The toilet had a bidet, and the shower was voice activated.
Every aspect of the room was to be at the highest possible standard.
However, there were only three beds.
"How will everyone sleep with only three beds?" Yuria asked.
"There are more beds we can ask the hotel to bring in. Space isn't an issue either." Momo spoke.
After looking around, everyone nodded. There was far more space than what was necessary. You could fit two king-sized beds into the bathroom if you really wanted to.
Regardless, Inko went to the hotel's telephone and asked for a couple more beds while everyone else sat down and relaxed.
Izuku immediately passed out after letting his head hit the pillow as he was still jet-lagged while Mitsuki and the Dark Souls girls immediately sat down and either browsed their phones or watched some television.
Diluc had a nap which encouraged Himiko and Momo to join him. They both went on their phones while they snuggled up into his embrace.
The first night they spent completely indoors, not appreciating the beauty of the outside. However, most of them were still jet-lagged and needed time to calm their bodies down.
They ordered room service. The room was soon filled to the brim in an exotic scent that wafted off from the food prepared by world-class chefs.
It didn't take any time for everyone to wake up from their groggy, lazy state and fill their bellies.
The night ended after everyone had finished dinner and bathed.
Diluc woke back up in the Forbidden Woods, continuing his challenges against the Shadows of Yharnam.
1v3's were extremely unfair. 1v3's with bosses was even more unfair. 1v3's with bosses that have multiple phases is even worse.
To begin with, Diluc was bombarded with fire the moment he entered the fog gate. The three enemies were dubbed; the swordsman, the hybrid, and the bitch.
The bitch never stopped using his fire to annoy Diluc while he was going toe to toe with the swordsman, and the hybrid wouldn't allow Diluc to attack itself. In the beginning, it was basically only the swordsman and the long-ranged fire user that he needed to worry about. As long as he stayed out of a small radius away from the hybrid, he was fine.
The swordsman also used a little bit of fire every now and then. It was mainly used to 'enchant' the sword by setting it on fire, or using a high-damage, short-ranged blast.
All in all, the swordsman was only there to demand Diluc's attention. He had tried to turn his back on it and get rid of the long-ranged shadow first, but the swordman seemed to get a buff of some sorts when it doesn't have your full attention as it teleported behind Diluc and decapitated him.
Finally, the long-ranged fire-user wasn't stupid. The second it realized that Diluc was able to listen to the flames getting closer and dodge it, the shadow began using feints to force Diluc into a bad position where the swordsman could take him down.
One attempt, Diluc tried to ignore the flames and just heal through the pain. This way, he wouldn't have to pay attention to the long-ranged shadow and could take down the swordsman as soon as possible.
However, the shadow understood what he was trying to do, and began firing off fire bullets at a high speed.
They did minimal damage, but they staggered Diluc for a second which was enough time for the swordsman to slash him once or twice.
Therefore, Diluc was back at square one, throwing his head against the wall which is the 3 annoying existences.
He woke back up in the real world. Momo and Himiko were already up and about while almost everyone else were asleep.
Anri was awake and sipping some coffee she had gotten from room service. She had gotten addicted to coffee after pulling a daybreak and drinking one. The energy she had received from a simple beverage instantly got her addicted.
Regardless, everyone else soon got up after a good night's rest. They would all need it for today.
In the morning, everyone was getting out of their half-asleep state, eating and drinking. Going to the toilet when needed to. Everyone was simply waking themselves up.
However, the second it turned 10am, the day officially started.
To begin with, they all went to a swimsuit store so they could all enjoy the greatest pleasure of Hawaii, the beaches.
Diluc and Izuku took about 2 minutes each to find a good pair of shorts. The girls, however, took far, far longer.
Himiko quickly picked out a red one-piece swimsuit.
"A red one?" Diluc questioned.
"Yeah! It has the same shade as blood!" She replied happily.
"Whatever makes you happy." He spoke. Himiko joined him and Izuku in waiting for the rest of the girls.
Yuria, Katherine and Anri discovered the universal love for shopping for clothes that every woman (except Himiko) shared. This meant that they took no shorter than Inko or Mitsuki to choose their clothes.
Yuria exclusively chose black swimsuit to try out while Kath stuck with white.
Kath approached Diluc with two identical swimsuits.
"Which one looks better?" She spoke as she moved one to her body, then the other.
"Are they any different?" He asked.
"Of course, they are! Look at the material. Look at how much cleavage this one shows." Kath spoke and placed one of the two over her body. It looked no different than the other one.
"I prefer the other one." Diluc spoke. Kath nodded and smiled.
'How confusing.' He thought.
Inko and Mitsuki were mainly making fun of each other while trying on clothes.
"Absolutely not that one. It makes you look so fat!" Mitsuki teased.
"No, it doesn't! Working out has gotten rid of most of my fat!" Inko complained.
"Then what is all this!" Mitsuki seemed to have pulling on Inko's fat.
"S-stop! That's not my belly!" Inko spoke. Oh, she wasn't pulling on her stomach.
Finally, was Momo. She was a perfectionist. A female employee was always right outside of her changing room so Momo could ask about any variations in the swimsuits.
"Is this in a different shade?"
"Do you have this a bit tighter around the waist?"
The employee seemed used to these types of people and answered every question swiftly and accurately.
All the other girls had been long since out of the changing rooms, all now waited on Momo.
The other girls didn't seem to be bothered in the slightest though. They understood Momo's pickiness somehow.
Momo soon exited the changing room looking amazing. She wore a dark purple two-piece that looked the exact same as the one she had showed Diluc an hour ago.
However, all the girls seemed really excited.
"It looks perfect! I'm glad you spent so much time touching it up!" Inko spoke.
"It's a perfect fit on you." Kath spoke.
They continued to shower Momo with praises while Diluc remained confused and Izuku was outside eating ice cream. He was able to take care of himself.
"Now to the beach!" Momo declared.
