"Cyrus…" Esther was about to say something. 

"Shutup! You are turning him into a useless coward!" Cyrus snapped at her for the first time in his life. 

Esther felt scared of him for the first time. She instantly took a step backward and stood silent. She felt a pang in her chest when he used the word shut up for her. Her big eyes looked at him with hurt which pained Cyrus's heart slightly. 

But he has to tell her just because they missed their time being with their son doesn't mean they shouldn't discipline him or spoil him. He has hopes for Reggie when he first met him. He doesn't want those hopes to turn into some steam. Cyrus doesn't want history to repeat in his case too. He would do everything in his power to let his son not face the same fate.
