章節 9: Chapter 1 : Part 8
I sighed as I stared up at the clouds while waiting for the mail to come. I suddenly felt a strange presence watching me, I sat up and looked around but I didn't see anyone there. I thought that maybe my mind was playing tricks on me again and ignored it.
"Hey (Y/N)-chan!" A familiar voice called. I looked over to see Fuyumi walking up to me.
"Hey Fuyumi-chan." I said cheerfully and stood up to hug her, she reciprocated the friendly action and did the same. I always looked up to Fuyumi as if she was my older sister, and she's always treated me as one of her little siblings. Plus I think she was glad to have another girl around to hangout with when we were younger. 'Living with three brothers must have been tough.' I giggled to myself. "How have you been holding up? I haven't heard from you guys in almost over a week." I said as I pulled away to look at her.
"..Things are a little complicated back home, but we're doing just fine." She said with a reassuring smile.
"Are you sure? Your father isn't mistreating any of you again is he?"
The reassuring smile stayed on her face as she shook her head.
"Like I said, it's a bit complicated. He's not as aggressive as before, but he's still obsessive about being the number one hero and using Shoto to surpass All Might." she said.
"Sho-chan will most likely rebel against that idea just to spite Todoroki-sama." I said, a bit jokingly. She giggled a little.
"Probably." She said with a half-hearted sigh. There was a moment of awkward silence before she spoke again. "Anyway, the reason why I came by was to see if you wanted to hang out, It's been a long time since we last had a girls night." She said more cheerfully.
"*Giggle* We used to have so much fun at our sleepovers."
"I know! *Giggle*"
"And then your brothers would always end up joining in! Remember that one time when we put makeup on Natsu-chan's face in his sleep? That was hilarious! *laughs*"
"*laughs* It was his own fault for snoring so loudly, pay back for interrupting our precious beauty sleep." she said jokingly. We both laughed, it felt good to laugh again. I've been all gloomy ever since we first came back.
"*Giggle* Just give me a minute to tell my mom, then we can go."
"Ok."
I went back inside to grab my bag, and to let my parents know I was going out.
"Mom! I'm going out with Fuyumi-chan, I probably won't be back till later!" I said, loud enough for her to here.
"Ok Sweetie! Have fun!" She responded. I grabbed my bag then headed back outside, and met up with Fuyumi.
"So, what do you want to do first?" She asked.
"There aren't any malls back home, so let's go there?"
"Sure!"
We walked to the train station and rode it to get to the mall, while on the train ride we would chat and catch up with each other. It doesn't even feel like I ever left, and we're still as close as ever. I originally expected it to be a bit awkward getting to know each other again, but I guess I was wrong. Once the train stopped we went straight to the mall and hit almost all of the clothes shops. We tried on outfits we liked and we looked at some of the accessories on display. We both got cute matching earrings, after a little bit of walking around, looking at other stores, and trying on more clothes, and just having an absolute blast we decided to go to the food court to grab something to eat.
"So what were you doing sitting on your lawn earlier?"
"huh? oh, I was waiting for the mail. I haven't gotten my acceptance letter just yet." I said as I sipped on my drink.
"That explains a lot."
"That reminds me! Did Sho-chan get his acceptance letter? I was also a bit worried when I didn't see him at the exam."
"*giggle* He told me not to say anything to you about it, so you'll just have to wait and see~" she said with a cheerful tone.
"Hmph.. but he's ok, right?" I ask and she nods. "Alright, then i'll wait."
"You never did like surprises huh?"
"Hey, it's not that I don't like them.. I just hate waiting for them."
"*Laughs* You haven't changed one bit." She said.
"*Laughs* Neither have you." I commented and we both laughed, man I missed this so much.
"Wanna go hit a couple more stores before we leave?"
"Heck yeah!" I said enthusiastically as I fist bumped the air. We got up and cleaned our trash before leaving the cafeteria, when I got the feeling I was being watched again. I glanced around our surroundings but didn't see anyone suspicious.
"Hm? What's the matter?" Fuyumi asked.
"..I keep getting this weird feeling someone's watching me." I said in a quiet tone to her.
"Oh. Well I don't see anything."
"Me neither, it's probably my mind messing with me for staying up last night.."
"Well, make sure you get some rest when you get home."
"Ok. *Giggle* Let's go."
We went up the escalators and looked around in the shops on the second floor.
~Time skip~
"*giggles* I think we hit almost every shop here!" Fuyumi said.
"*laughs* I know right? I think i've got enough clothes to last me until next year! Hahaha!" I said, my arms were getting tired of carrying all these heavy bags. "Oh wait- we didn't go to that one yet." I said, pointing at the shop.
"You want to go in there? I didn't know you liked that kind of stuff (Y/N)-chan."
"Heh heh.. How about you go sit and rest your feet while I go take a look?"
"Good idea, my feet have probably turned into jello about now." She said jokingly. I handed her my bags for her to hold onto while I went into the shop, and she sat on one of the lounge couches. "Don't take too long, the mall will be closing soon!" She said.
"Ok!" I answered and headed into the small shop named 'Hot Topic'. As I walked in my ears were filled with punk-rock music, and my head bobbed to the music a bit as I looked around the shop.
My eyes landed on a black shirt with a cool airbrush rose decal on the front, and a nice (f/c) denim crop top vest on one of the mannequins. Both were a bit expensive and out of my price range, but I really wanted it.. I don't really know when I started liking punk-ish stuff, but whenever me and Natsumi would sneak into our older cousin Ayame's room for a girls night, the decor of her room would always catch my eye. Ayame was the rebel of the family, she didn't like the traditional life our grandparents expected of us. Sometimes Ayame would even let me borrow some of her punk cd's and I would listen to them when my parents would fight. I sometimes wondered if Touya would also like this kind of stuff. I snapped myself out of my thoughts and turned to go look around the shop a bit more but then I bumped into someone.
"Oh- sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you." I apologized before backing away and looking at the person.
"Small world, I didn't think I would see you again.. still sleeping on park benches kid?" He said the last part sarcastically. I scoffed and rolled my eyes at the raven haired man, the same jerk I met a few weeks ago.
"That was only one time, and don't call me kid..!" I said as I brushed past him and looked around the shop. I could feel him watching me as I looked around.
"Hey shorty, what's your name?" My cheeks puffed up as if I was a toddler about to throw a fit.
"Excuse me mister burnt chicken nugget but I'm not short! In fact, I'm taller than your burnt ass." I then turned to face him better before I stuck my tongue out at him and he chuckles.
"Actually, I'm still a whole foot taller than you." He let out a small laugh. "Well, gonna tell me your name?"
"Nope."
"And why not?" He asked while putting his hand on the back of his neck.
"Because you didn't tell me yours and I don't like cocky assholes like you." I said sarcastically while folding my arms.
"Fine, don't tell me your name. Your name is now gonna be shorty."
I scoffed before walking out of the store I was in and I headed back over to where I left Fuyumi but she wasn't anywhere to be seen. I then started looking around for her but I then heard my name being called.
"(Y/n)-chan! Hey!" A cheerful and familiar voice called. I turned around to see the new friend that I had made at the exams.
"Oh! Hey Mina-chan! How are you?" I asked as she walked over with a black haired boy, I studied the boy as they both approached me, he had nice crimson eyes and shoulder-length black hair that was pulled into a ponytail.
"I'm great thanks! This is my best friend Kirishima!" Mina says as Kirishima does a small shy wave.
"Hello, it's nice to meet you Kirishima-kun." I say to him with a welcoming smile.
"Likewise." He said, and smiled as well.
"So what brings you to the mall?" Mina asked while tilting her head to the side curiously.
"I was here with my friend but we got seperated." I answered.
"Oh, what's your friend's name?" Kirishima asked.
"Her name's Fuyumi. She has some red highlights in her white hair. She also has some black and blue glasses." They both nod at my response.
"I think I saw her over by the food court ordering some fries. She was right behind me and Mina in line." Kirishima says while pointing over to the food court which was on the first floor right below them.
"Thank you so much! I hope we see each other again very soon!" I said before heading to the escalator after I heard them say goodbye to me.
As I walk down to the food court I spot Fuyumi's white hair, I walk over to her to see that she was in fact eating fries. "Hey! How come you left me?" I ask her while startling her a bit.
"Oh! (Y/n)! I was just on my way back to you."
"Mhm.. Sure."
"I really was!" She says to me.
"Well you could've bought me some fries too ya know." I say jokingly while folding my arms.
"*giggles* Sorry, wanna share with me?" She asks while offering some to me.
"No thanks. I'm kinda tired from walking around so much, can we go now?" I ask and she nods while handing me my shopping bags.
"Sure, I'm already to go!" She says before we both start heading to the train station. As we wait for the train to arrive I go on my Instagram and started to go through random posts when I found a post from someone's account named KiriEjiro and I saw a photo with Mina and Kirishima both hugging while standing in front of cute shop from the same mall we were just at. I decided to follow both of them.
Not even a second past before QueenBeeGirl, which was Mina's account, followed me back. I even got a private message from her saying:
"Hey girl! Glad we can chat more here!"
I smile at the message and sent: "I Agree, you seem like a really great friend! Have fun with your boyfriend!" They really looked like a really good couple.
"Me and Kiri aren't dating!" She replies.
"Are you sure? You two look really cute together!"
"Do we really?"
"Definitely!"
"Wow! Thanks a lot!!!❤️"
I smile and leave the conversation at that before getting on the seat with Fuyumi. We both had a long journey home so I decided to try and take a nap.
