"I've been asked to trust you." Fu Yan spoke in a really low voice. "Can I trust you though?" She asked.
I looked towards Goldy for a second right there. I don't know why, but I just wanted to. And he still had tears in his eyes.
[I'm sorry… I couldn't fulfil our promise back then, Xue…]
I could hear Goldy repeating that same sentence over and over again, but I kinda felt sad that I was the only one hearing it. But I mean, even if Fu Yan were to hear it, she wouldn't understand why Goldy was apologizing. Ha, truly a complicated moment.
Anyway, I took my eyes off Goldy and focused on Fu Yan instead. "What do you feel? You feel like trusting me?" I asked her.
"No." The child was pretty frank in her opinion. And I kinda respected the hustle. I mean, she knew that her grandpa was gonna correct her yet again if she were to say it before me, but she simply didn't care.
"Fu Yan! What are you-" I stopped the little old guy from saying anything and walked right up to Fu Yan's face.
