章節 9: Chapter 8- Pope Knows Best
After their introductions, Kazuki invited Maggie to ride pegasus with them back to town. When they arrived, they went to the church to meet the pope.
" Morning Pope! Long time no see!" Kazuki said while running as if meeting a long lost friend.
" I see you never change Kazuki." the pope replied while playing with his beard. Jut then, Pegasus entered the church.
" Greetings Pope. I am here to present the crown I've been guarding. Your church can have it back"
" Thank you. I see you have pulled the sword Kazuki." He thanked pegasus and turned to Kazuki.
" Y....yeah."
Suddenly, Kazuki fell to the ground. All he saw was darkness and felt the cold ground.
" Kazuki!!!"
All he could hear was Sakura shouting his name and he lost consciousness.

The next day,
Kazuki slowly opened his eyes and saw the pope standing beside him looking at the window.
" What happened?" he asked looking dumbfounded. He could not remember much about what happened yesterday.
" I see you're awake. You lost consciousness a few minutes after you arrived" the pope greeted with a smile. It was a smile that could enlighten your emotions.
" I see. Where's Sakura?"
" She's asleep. She stayed here with you last night so I let her sleep."
" Sorry."
" Why are you apologizing?" the pope was surprised by Kazuki's sudden apology.
" Because I worried all of you."
" It's fine. After all you wasted all your MP on defeating that golem."
Kazuki tries to stand but his feet felt weak that he immediately fell back to the bed. I then tried to crawl on the floor but the pope stopped him.
" Stop it Kazuki" he said getting all worried.
" No pope. I need to get the reward now!"
" Seriously?" the pope facepalmed.
" Let me explain. We need money to live right?"
" Yeah?"
" So we use money to buy our needs. Which means if we don't have money, we won't have anything to buy our needs which is a huge problem for us because we need them to survive."
" Such sarcasm."
" Bye" he said as he trie to reach for the door.
The moment he tried to get up the Pope pulled a katana from his robe and aimed it at his neck.
For a moment Kazuki felt a chill in his spine. This was his first time seeing the pope's other side.
" The hell you did that for?"
" Stay and rest."
" I told you I'm gonna-" as he was about to reply, the pope threatened him.
" Wanna die?"
That moment Sakura entered the room. She was dumbfounded seeing the pope aiming a katana on Kazuki. Instead of helping Kazuki all she could do was laugh.
" Kazuki! Pope! Fufufufu what happened."
" This boy here wanted to claim his reward but he can't stand so I'm making him rest."
" Oh? Looks like someone's hardheaded."
Kazuki gave Sakura watery eyes but she did not respond. He felt like he was betrayed.
" Dammit Sakura help me!"
" Sorry Kazuki but it's for your own good."
" Nooooo!"
He kept resisting the Pope's advice so the Pope finally gave up. He called a servant and asked him a favor.
" Please bring Kazuki here to the torture chamber. Don't kill him just torture him until he loses consciousness."
" You call yourself a Pope?"
Sakura couldn't do anything but laugh from the side.
" Hahaha! Fufufufu! You should've listened to the Pope Kazuki. Fufufu. Pope Knows Best."
