When everything seemed to be going in the right direction and people found a new place to live. One of Ulf Erikson's younger sons, Bjorn the Red in 820 seized power in Iceland.
His descendants sat on several European thrones, whether through marriage or conquest. Though the dynasties began to decline over time, they had a tremendous impact on the history of Europe.
