After Reece and I entered the waiting room that we had been in before, I took a seat and motioned Reece over toward me. I wanted to be as close to him as I possibly could right now. I still needed that reassurance that he was there. I knew that we had just announced to the others that he was alive and well, but that didn't stop me from worrying about him. Hell, I might not let him more than an arm's length away from me for the rest of our lives.

Alright, that would be too much. I wouldn't be able to handle that much closeness with Reece. Maybe it would only last about a year or so. Long enough for me to be sure that he really was here with us still, and that he wasn't going anywhere.
