I glanced at the screen of the vibrating phone sitting a few inches away from me. I could even hear it over Eros’s extremely loud and violent singing –or torture. I licked my lips and glanced at the door that led to the bathroom.

My heart thumped as I weighed the pros and cons of answering this ‘Merida’s call. He had been sneaking off to answer her calls and it was pissing the hell out of me. I didn’t want to ruin anything because we were flying off to Barbados tomorrow. He would probably take another thirty minutes in the bathroom singing to some Greek song that I really liked even if he made it sound bad and I didn’t understand a word.

“You okay, Baby?” he called and let out a violent cough, probably got water into his nose or mouth and I laughed.

“Yes, sir”

“Are you sure? Still don’t want to join me?”

“It’s cold, Eros” I answered and grabbed the phone before answering the call.

“Okay. It’s your loss” I let out a loud hum and pressed the phone to my ear.
