"Captain, we found something."

One of the knights turned over a golden bow. It was beautiful but it was such a familiar bow.

Nathan took it, his eyes deepening. "This is my sister's bow."

He remembered seeing her holding it before they separated. She must have dropped it during the skirmish.

"There are also dead monsters nearby and we think they are hunting spoils."

"Mm."

Nathan wordlessly carried the bow and strayed further, and arrived at a place with obvious signs of combat. Looking at it, it must have been an intense one. 

"Woah."

Trees were either burnt or sliced off and there was even a part where it seemed like it got cleared by a tremendous force. The ground was even scorched black on some parts. There were no corpses in sight but there were blood puddles and stains on the ground. 

"Look at that."

Everyone stared at the crisscrossing wall of tree roots in awe, so tall that it seemed to climb the sky.
