章節 3: Mysterious Knowledge
Walking out of the grocery store, Klaust kept the box carefully on his hand. When Klaust passed the flea market, carbide lamps along the street were ignited one by one. Lamplighters in the Blackhot City were shaking bells on their four-wheelers and parked them in front of each lamp. They climbed onto the poles, removed the lampshades, added fuel, and ignited them.
When they left, sexy women with half exposed breasts appeared under the shadows of carbide lamps close to the railway station as the passersby ogled. A couple of those women gathered and talked about something to their companions. Following that, some of them laughed presumptuously and madly.
Klaust walked and peered at those women under lamps. They made him anxious and gradually caused him to be cautious.
"Baby, come here to your aunt. Let me teach you how to be a man…" a forty-odd year plump and enchanting woman with red curly hair greeted him at the end of the alley beside a lamp pole. Klaust could see her clearly. Looking into Klaust's eyes, the woman slightly lowered herself so that Klaust could notice her magnificent white breasts. She squeezed the two exposed balls outside the collar and groaned slightly, "Mmm…". She then opened her mouth and slowly licked one finger. Seeing this, Klaust felt a bit afraid and star pacing up. Klaust escaped under the lecherous laughter of the women.
The flea market beside the railway station became really noisy at night. People from all walks of life appeared when the darkness arrived. Klaust recovered his composure when he was almost 100 meters away from that terrifying woman. In order to avoid embarrassment, Klaust had to pretend to act like he was late and in a hurry.
The moment Klaust walked out of the flea market, a voice from a roadside stall slowed him down.
"Boss, you got all these things from the ruins?"
"Of course, look at all these thing. The are all well perserved right? How could it be preserved so well if not from the ruins?"
"But what is the use with all these thing?"
"Hahaha you need to buy it if you want to know right?"
Attract by the thing on the stall. Klaust moved over towards it and squatted together with other people near the stall. Many things were placed disorganizely on a waterproof cloth. The thing that attract him is a dagger with an animal skin as sheathed.
"How much is this boss?"
"Good eyes kid. Before that i want to ask you something"
"Sure. Go ahead"
"What do you want to do with the dagger?"
"For protection" said klaust determinedly
The stall owner look at the kid for a while. Seeing the kid eyes he said something before telling him the price.
"Be careful with it kid. Just give me 4 silver for this"
"Eh so cheap?"
"Just take it before i changed my mind"
"Ok. Thank you boss"
Klaust give the stall owner 4 silver coin and take the dagger with him. The stall owner keep looking at klaust until he disappeared from his sight.
'Sigh.. the catastophe... Even a kid need a dagger to protect himself'
On the way to pick up Nunally, Klaust's stomach was already growling; however, Klaust was satisfied when he touched the dagger in his shoes sock. In this age, knowledge was expensive and any skill or knowledge acquired was unique and precious. But even then the most precious skill is the skill to survive. Klaust remembered that Miss Daina watched him for more than three months before she taught him basic knowledge in the current era and even then Miss Daina said that the skill we need the most is survival. Thankfully Klaust is a smart kid, since little he is always left alone with Nunally while his now missing father go hunting in the ruin outside. Because of that Klaus has a mindset that is far mature that the others kid his age. When kid his age started getting horny and dream about woman, he is always trying to stay composed and calmed enought to not be affected by that. In his eyes, other than Nunally and several person that he need to repay their kindness for, everyone else is not important. Everyone else is someone he need to put his guard on.
When Klaust reach Lila Home, it was almost 9pm.. The rice brew store that Lila Mother opened up was already closed. Nunally already fall a sleep on the couch There is a Supper in warm water to keep the food warm on the table beside the couch. It contained a pot of mixed vegetables, a bowl of bacon braised with kidney beans, and a huge bowl of cooked white rice. This was specifically left by Lila Mother.
"Ah you are here Klaust? Come and eat supper"
"Ah Aunty. Thank you for taking care of Nunally"
"It's fine. Lila is also happy with Nunally here. Go eat your supper"
"Then.. Thank you for the food"
Eating the supper, Klaust felt somewhat moved. He vowed to himself that he will pay for their kindness.
"Just sleep here tonight. There is a bad rumor going on the neighbourhood this day. They said a lot of people at the slum went missing"
"Eh? There is such thing?"
"Yes. So just stay here for the night and go home tomorrow. Don't be stubborn this time"
"Okay then aunty. We will sleep here"
"Good. Good"
When Klaust is eating supper Lila came from outside bringing a bag. Inside the bag there is a piece of cloth for Nunally and Him one each.
"Ah you are here klaust. Here your cloth"
Lila take his cloth out of the bag and throw it to him. Klaust catch the cloth while feeling a bit confused. Seeing his expression Lila can help but laugh a little.
"Haha Nunally fall a sleep here an you came late. So i guess that you will also sleep here. That's why"
"Ohh so it was like that. You got smarter Lila"
Lila can only rolled her eyes hearing that comment. Without waiting for klaust to finish his supper Lila went to Nunally and wake her up.
"Come let's move to my room. Your brother will sleep here on the couch"
"Fueh..??...."
Nunally being suddengly waked up can only nod while mumbling. Seeing her being these cute the other on the living room smile unknowingly.
"Well Klaust. Aunty will also go know ok. No need to wash the plate"
"Yes Aunty. Thank you for the food once again"
With everyone back to their room. Klaust finished his food and start tidying up the house. He wash the plate, swipe the floor, organize the house and etc. He also not forget to lock the house. After finishing up, Klaust sit on the couch and took the box he placed away. After scrutinizing the box carefully, he realized that the box has an exquisite carving on it. The lock being there but somehow there is no keyhole on it.
'How do i open this? Ughh let's check it once more'
Even after checking it for more than 10 minutes, there really is no keyhole and somekind of hidden function on it. Being frustated Klaus tried to pried open using his hand.
'Damn. It's hard'
And suddenly.
'Ouch, i hurt my hand'
Maybe because he tried to pried it open too hard. His hand got cut, thankfully it was only a minor cut and it didn't bleed that much. But something happen after that little blood touch the lock on the box.
Ting
The lock got opened and the wooden box opened up unveling a book inside it. A beautiful silver book that has the picture of human anatomy. And on the cover of the book the title written in gold

"Human mystery? what is this? this is the thing mom left behind?"
Klaust opened the book and start reading the first page. The first page explain about the thing he is curious the most. How to get stronger. People called it cultivation. The catastrophe that happen can also be called a cursed and blessing. Even though humanity faced many adversaries and difficulty after the catastrophe, but it also opened up the way of cultivaton to humanity. Human that only have a lifespan over at max 100 years can extend their lifespan by cultivating. Not only that beast and demon from undergrond that used to press down on humanity can also be beaten by those people that start cultivating. The way human cultivated as explain is to light surging point on their body. The firs is one, and one more after that 2, 3, 5 and continously according to fibonaci sequence on math until they light up 34 surging point to reach Lvl 9 Fighter or what they called Bloody scorpion fighter.
Reading up to this klaust tried to open the second page but cannot do it. While pondering about the reason, Klaust start reading over the first page once more. In the first page there is only a detailed explanation to reach Lvl 5 fighter, even thought the book explained the name of Lvl 6-9 fighter, but there is no detailed explanation about it.
'It seems i need to reach Lvl 5 Fighter first before continuing on the second page. Hmm but is it only this? There is no way it only has this kind of knowledge. Based on what i read, this knowledge even though important it lack the most important thing. Skill! There is no explanation to what i need to do to light up the surging point'
'Maybe there is another book?'
Klaust start to search the box one more time to see if there is anything else inside. But after carefully looking for it, he still didn't find anything worth.
'Strange. Right how do i open the lock again? Ah?! My blood? Maybe...'
Klaust tried to drip his blood on the box after thinking for a while. The blood that got on the box suddenly move by itself. The blood movement resemble the vein inside human body, it move along the whole box, branching and finally finished after creating a certain pattern. After the blood pattern finished the box suddenly flashed a red dim light and vanished.
'What the...?!! Where is the box?'
Before Klaust can get up to search for the box, suddenly he feels dizzy and fall back to the couch.
'What? Ughh how come i suddenly get dizzy'
Before he was able to react to the dizziness. Suddenly there is a stream of information inside his head. The stream only have two kind of information. The first information is about a battle technique called "Star Aura" and the other one is "Deep Sleep Meditation". Unfortunately, before klaust can check the content of the Information he black out from the dizziness.

AskAndzar Star Aura is something i think myself while Deep Sleep Meditation is not, I forget where i learned about deep sleep but i'm pretty sure it was also from a novel.
Tell me if you know, i need to include it for credit chapter later.
