章節 33: Next Question. Prt 2.
We where out from the waters and sitting beside each other. I was getting cold and I needed to breathe a little.
The moon where horizontal with the bushes further, the sky was beautiful and made me want to stay like this forever.
"Next question?" He asked.
I peered at him, his face had been washed out. That sad face was been wiped away with a smile. His eyes where deem cause I couldn't see it clearly but I know the brown haven't yet faded.
My face where kept straight forward after I said. "What happened between your dad and you?" I knew this question I asked would be very difficult for him to answer so I decided to keep a straight face.
I knew is a lot harder to answer a question when you don't want to, so it would be better he looks at the water. Imagining he was talking to the waters.
"Look at me Gela" I heard.
I turned my face to Alex's direction, for a while it was like he didn't say it cause the voice I heard was really lite and soft.
He kept his eyes straight on me. Till he said. "Blade and I haven't been in talking terms since I was little" he said.
My eyes didn't leave his, his didn't leave mine. I didn't want to ask why, if he wanted to go further he would. I decided to say this even. "And how have it affected your mom?" I asked.
He still didn't blink when he traced my lips, his face was left confused for some reason. He said. "They weren't together for years but he recently came back" He replied.
"That was a third question, I didn't expect an answer" I said and giggled. He just looked at me unbelievably.
I held my self from asking further, the hurt was in his eyes. This was the second time seeing him like this, I don't know but is more like I felt it too. Is painful seeing him in this state.
But why.
The next words he said got me surprised. "Where you ignoring my calls and text?" He asked with the slightest voice ever.
I nodded a no.
"You called and texted?" I asked,. Surprised.
It was his time to nod. That is really unusual.
Oh now I remembered.
"My phone had been with Isabella, I had been working" I said.
He grimaced immediately.
"What?" I asked.
"You still work?" He asked.
"Yes.. obviously. That's where I get the money to pay for my school expenses" I said, even if it was literally embarrassing talking about that.
Do I forget or what, I remembered Alex doesn't like my job. I asked. "What?"
He kept quiet again before he said. "Am surprised Conner still kept you" He replied.
I am too, after what Alex did am really surprised.
He stood up and brought his hands for me to hold, I did. We walked in sync and I believe he was heading back to the cabin.
When we arrived in, he got shocked and faced me but removed it immediately and said. "Did you tidy up my mess?"
I looked at him for a while and said. "Have a problem with that?" I asked.
Now he just looked at me and mumured "Unbelievable Gela.." I heard half of it but the other I didn't.
I head to the couch and he had asked If I was hungry but I wasn't. I didn't know actually if I was hungry or not. It was deem in here, the lights where old fashioned but everything else where new.
He approached the only couch in the room and I was on it so we had to share it, we weren't exactly wet but he still gave me a blanket to cover up just not to get cold. I wondered if he spend the night here. It was clear there wasn't any room in here.
"Thank you" I said. He gazed at me with confusion. I added. "For helping me the other night."
Still looking at me he quietly said. "Hmm" and nodded. He removed his gaze from me.
I hope he doesn't remember when I tried seducing him.
Of course he remembers.
I raised my legs and cuddled it with my arms. He now peered at me and said. "Are you afraid of what would go wrong and not positive of what could go right?" He asked. That was blunt.
I raised my gaze to him, he already had an earpiece on. Keeping a confused expression he raised the right ear from the piece and gestured for me to listen.
I shrugged closer and tried avoiding body contact but failed meslessly cause I had to be close if needed to listen. I took it from his hold and slide it inside my ears.
I haven't heard this song before but it was my taste cause I know the artist was Westlife.
When the song had gone deep in my eardrumps I answered to his question. "Yes" I said slightly, not sure he heard me.
The music had been playing when he said. "If you didn't get my text or calls, how did you know I was here?" He asked still bluntly.
I heard him so I am definitely sure he heard me when I answered. I raised my gaze to him when I said. "I Guessed" I answered unsure of what to say.
He just looked at me. He wanted to read my mind before, now I want to read his. What is behind those eyes of his. What his he thinking right away.
I guess that's something you would never know.
Yeah. My eyes where almost blurly when I said. "Alex, can you guarantee me if I sleep here tonight" I paused and added. "You wouldn't leave me again?"
He was quiet.
My eyes where dizzy, I waited to hear his response but got nothing. He slowly cuddled me on the couch.
Till I slowly heard.
"No, I wouldn't"
....
