"ARE you absolutely sure about this, Astrid?" Ellis questioned, referring to Astrid's proposal to be the primary investor for the movie [The Shadow Within].

"Yes, I'm sure. I don't have any other plans for my savings right now, so I might as well invest them in this movie," Astrid replied with a nonchalant shrug.

Although he had intended to use the money to renovate three or four units in his apartment building to create a larger space for himself and Reas, he figured he could proceed with those plans once the movie started generating profit.

He was confident the movie would be profitable. He believed that as long as Director McCann did his job properly, everything would fall into place. This meant choosing the right actors for each role and directing the film with the same vision and precision outlined in the script.
