"Rhishi, that disguise is the absolute worst." Wendi said. It was late at night, and we were in the workshop.
"Why are you working here?" I asked.
"My apprentice," she said, "seems to have become embroiled in some matter of government conspiracy. So back to the old patterns. I work all day, I eat dinner, and I come down here to work until I can no longer remain awake."
"No, masteress." I said, laying hands upon her shoulders. "Now is time to sleep."
"No." she said, moving slowly but not resisting. "The potions..."
"I'll finish the potions." I said. "What kind are they?"
"Coagulent. Anti-bleeding."
I recited the formula to her. "I'll take care of it, but let's get you into bed."
Verbally, she resisted, but her body knew better. She was asleep as soon as her cheek hit the pillow.
Me? I finished the potion (more of an imbued medicine), took a shallow bath to get the blood of transformation off me, and...

Mike_Kochis Yes, I took time to reveal more of the countess' household. The outline calls for all of these characters, at different times. No spoilers, but Rhishi spends some time in the basement before he finally isn't there any more.
Actually, it's a challenge to show what's going on where Rhishi doesn't experience it himself. Show, not tell.
