Avalor finds out about the failed project and to say she is angry is an understatement.

Trouble between William and Avalor when Rose tells William about what she witnessed in the office.

EIGHTEEN

I turned off my lamp after waiting for Chloe but didn't see her.

I heard some noises at the door and saw Chloe coming in the room with a very tired face.

"Hey, I was waiting for you. Where have you been?" I turn the lamp back on as she plops on her bed in a very unladylike manner.

"I hate being a personal maid" she grumbled as she stuffed her head into a pillow.

"Is it that bad?" I asked out of curiosity but the look she gives tells me I shouldn't have asked.

Avalor and Brad's personal maids are the three old hags, they are in charge of their personal needs and their room while William's personal maid is Violet, Grayson's Helen, Regina's Chloe and Christian's Francesca.

I was glad when I wasn't chosen to be a personal maid but I never knew it suck this much.

"You will never believe it. She treats me like a total dog, I am not allowed to sit when she is in the room, I clean and mop everyday because she goes viral if I don't. And today, she had me massage her till she fell asleep, I haven't even eaten" she ranted.

"Sorry, that sounds horrible. Should I go prepare something for you to eat?" I asked.

"Thanks but I just need to sleep right now. Regina asked me to wake up as early as five to wake her up because she has an important meeting tomorrow" she growled.

"I am really sorry, I promise to help you with cleaning tomorrow" I said and she let out a tiny smile.

"Thanks, Rose"

"Aren't you gonna change into something much more comfortable?" I asked but I didn't get an answer, I looked over to see she has already fallen asleep.

I stood up to loose her blonde locks from the bun because she hates sleeping with her hair in a ponytail or bun and used the duvet to cover her up.

I turned off the lamp and got into my bed.

"Goodnight, baby girl" I yawned and fell asleep shortly.

"Rose, Rose. I am so dead!!!" I woke up to someone's frantic screams.

I opened my eyes faintly to see Chloe moving around the room like a mad woman.

"Chloe, what's going on?" I yawned and turned over.

"It's six am, Rose. Six freaking am. I was supposed to be up an hour ago to wake Regina. I forgot to put the alarm at five am. I am so dead" she ranted as she moved around the room, getting changed into her uniform, her damp hair indicating she just came out of the shower.

I vaguely remember her telling me something like that.

"OK, calm down. It wil be alright" I sat up and rubbed my sleep deprived eyes.

"I am dead!!" She exclaimed before she ran out of the room.

I rolled my eyes at her overreaction and stood up to get ready for the day.

Miss Helda is going to think that pigs are flying today because I woke up an hour earlier than usual.

I entered the kitchen and was met with a lot of delicious aroma.

"Good morning, women" I greeted the three old musketeers and they all looked up with surprise.

"All surprised to see me up so early?" I smirked as I took an apple from the basket.

"I would believe if they told me that pigs are flying, Mrs Hatchman" Miss Helda remarked and they all chuckled.

Told ya.

"Rosaline dear, good morning" Mrs Hatchman smiled and I smiled back.

I dropped the coffee at the veranda where Mr Brad was reading today's newspapers as usual.

"Thanks"

"You are welcome, sir" I left and was about to climb the stairs when I heard voices that didn't sound happy at all.

I followed the noise and stood in front of Regina's bedroom where Chloe and her stood and the latter didn't look happy at all.

Slap.

Chloe took a few steps back due to the impact of Regina's palm.

What's with me these days and walking in when people are being slapped?

I quickly stepped between them and held Regina's wrist before she could slap Chloe again.

"Enough" I gritted.

Regina's face was filled with surprise by my tone and I was also surprised at my reaction.

"Let go of me! Are you crazy?" She pulled her wrist out of my grip.

"I should say you are the crazy one. How dare you raise your hand at her?" I yelled back at her.

"Excuse me? Do-do you know who you are talking to?"

"Yes of course I do. The great Regina Bladderwort, the famous Regina that have no iota of humanity in her" I spat and she recoiled from shock.

"Rose.....stop" Chloe held my arm from behind.

"Y-you. Do you know how important that appointment was to me? Because of that foolish and tardy brat, I couldn't attend it" she yelled and was about to grab Chloe when I pushed her back.

"If you knew it was so important, you should have set an alarm yourself. She is your maid, not an alarm clock or your dog!!! Your action is not justifiable"

"You should apologise to her right now!" I said.

"What? Apologise? I own nobody an apology" she spat.

"What is going on here?" William stood at the doorframe with eyes wide open at the scene, his suit shirt was only buttoned halfway.

"You should ask your sister" I glared at Regina.

"Rose, stop this. You will get fired" Chloe pleaded with me.

"Gina, what is happening here?" He asked and she told him what happened.

"So, you are telling me that you slapped Chloe just because she didn't wake up in time for your appointment?" He asked with disbelief.

"Yes. Finally, someone gets me!" Regina huffed.

"Apologise right now!" William ordered.

"You heard him, maids. Apologise immediately" Regina spat.

"I am talking to you, Gina. What you did was foolish and totally uncalled for, apologise to both of them" William said and I gave her a smug look.

"What? I am not apologising to anyone, Will!!" she shouted and stormed out of the room with her short purple nightgown.

"I am sorry for what just happened" William sighed.

"Chloe deserves the apology" I looked at Chloe that is still shaking from the ordeal and hugged her close to me.

"Chloe, I am really sorry what my sister did to you, she was totally wrong. Please accept my apology on behalf of her" William apologised.

"I-it's fine, Mr William. You don't need to be sorry" Chloe gave him a weak smile.

We left the room to the kitchen after that to prepare breakfast. After breakfast, when we were all clearing up, Regina suddenly walked in and stood directly in front of Chloe.

I tense up but remain still and just watch them from where I was.

"I just wanted to apologize for my behavior with you earlier. I am sorry I hit you. I was mad but that wasn't right" she said and everyone looked at her in surprise.

Chloe looks over to me, silently asking me what she should do and I nod at her and she gave me a small smile.

"it's fine, ma'am. I promise to never do that again" she answered.

"I am sure after everything that has happened, you wouldn't like to be my personal maid anymore. I understand, so I decided to get a new personal maid" she turned and started walking towards my direction and I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

"Rosaline, from today henceforth, you are my new personal maid" she smirked and I gaped at her.
