Right as the engine is about to pass through the raised gate of the station, a roar causes my body to freeze up.
"Everyone, prepare for battle! Drop the gate!"
Looks like they noticed. Guess I'll have to break that gate down myself!
{Blood, wait a few seconds.}
Why! It's finally my turn to really get in some bloody murdering. I won't be stopped!
{We are trying a suggestion Guy made to open the gate. If it works you'll be inside way quicker.}
An catastrophic explosion rocks the wagon I am in. What the hell just happened?
{While approaching, we blocked the engine's exhaust, causing pressure to build in the boiler. Just now that pressure reached the boilers capacity. The boiler exploded and the gate has been blown open. You'll be able to get in now, go!}
I forcefully uncoil my body and the already banged up doors of my wagon are directly blasted out of their hinges. As I stick my head out of the wagon I see the back engine of this train sailing through the sky. That's going to kill a lot of-
Suddenly, a small figure appears out of nowhere and swings a giant hammer at the train. The train is hit and gets crushed into a metal mass that is blasted away from the station. That's a really strong adventurer. Level 200?
{That is the station master. She's a weapon master with a confirmed level above 200. All stations are commanded by a similar level of combat power.}
Weapon master. That's troublesome.
How's Guy?
{Being respawned elsewhere. We can't spawn him inside the station and with the station being on guard he'd be killed before getting close again.}
All the more slaughter opportunities for me!
{True. It's a bit ironic. Guy had you pinned as the distraction while he'd be the main attack. Now he turned into the distraction and you get to fight. Just hurry because the station master will come for you.}
While talking to Navi, I have been rushing to the gate that is now a half melted crater with various metal scraps strewn all over. I am greeted by a dozen adventurers who have formed a loose semi circle around the destroyed gate. I use my tail whip skill to deliver a first attack that should reach most of them.
Predictably, three shield-bearers step forward and attempt to block my tail with their shields, the tower stance skill, as well as a few additional energy shields. My tail connects and I activate my shatter skill.
Their energy shields shatter, their physical shields break and their tower stance loses effect as my tail whip sends them flying. I finally exhale all the venomous mist breath I have been accumulating and a dense, red cloud is released from my maw.
The adventurers panic as they lose both their front liners and their vision. I utilize my slaughter sense to locate them in the mist and kill them one by one. I sink my fang into the last adventurer who made up the first line of defense, when the mist begins to fade and my slaughter sense goes off. My senses are telling me that something really strong is approaching. That's probably the station master.
I use my blood magic to make two blood clones and send them out of the thinning mist in the direction the threat is coming from. Meanwhile I slither to the nearest building, hoping to get a few more kills.
My blood clones get annihilated by two arrows. They are reduced to puddles of blood and I feel the station master's attention focusing on me. The undead train crew members are also storming into the station by now but they are ignored.
I activate my sanguine boost to speed up and send seven energy fangs into the station master's direction. They won't reach but maybe they'll block some arrows.
I hear a few of my energy fangs shatter as three arrows pierce into my body. Another five arrows hit the ground behind me. Thanks to my sudden boost in speed, the arrows meant for my head only hit my body and the ones meant for my body hit nothing at all.
Combining the energy fangs providing some resistance and my hardened scales providing good defense, my injuries aren't fatal.
I arrive at the door and smash my way through. Inside is a lot of equipment that gives me a vague sense of magic being at play. There are also a bunch of weaklings trembling in fear.
"Monsters have breached the surveillance room! Send help immediately!"
Surveillance room, huh. Would be a shame if I broke something.
With my stats raised by sanguine boost, I use my entire body to smash into everything that's close by. I feel danger approaching from outside and try to activate as many skills as possible.
Energy rushes through my body. The feeling is reminiscent of when I use the energy fang skill but more encompassing. Energy begins to coalesce next to my and a perfect copy of myself that is made out of energy joins me in rampaging around the room.
A shadow slips in through the door and both I as well as my energy based copy get assailed by a rain of energy arrows. This time there's no escaping. I feel my body going towards its inevitable demise as I watch the station master scan the room.
Her face contorts at the sight of this room and she begins to retch right as my vision cuts off.
{You did something outrageous again…}
You mean the blender act I pulled just now?
