章節 305: Dominance (2)

{Threatening a dungeon master while in his dungeon might not be the best idea. Good thing that Being Y thinks you are useful enough to warrant some special treatment.}

I expect some bolt of lightning accompanied by a booming voice to inform the orcs of my position. However, no supernatural phenomenon manifests out of thin air.

Instead, the orc shaman suddenly closes his eyes and opens them in shock. He slightly bows his head and waves for the orcs around him to settle down.

"I apologize for my lack of respect. You have indeed been sent by the creator and we will assist you in any way we can."

"Well, that is better. Are you in contact with any other encampments?"

"We are part of a tribe that is split into five encampments of similar size. I do not know where the others currently are but I can send scouts to find them."

"Do so then. Send scouts to find them and call them here. I will need more orcs in case things go south. The rest of you will be trained by me. I need you to be as prepared as possible before we try what I have in mind."

{And what exactly do you have in mind? Being Y is very curious.}

Well, the trains are hard to attack as are the stations. But what if we had a train of our own? We could essentially turn their entire infrastructure against them.

{So you want to hijack a train? And how will you accomplish that? I'm sure that you do remember the trains being moving fortresses.}

Getting in will be hard, true. But once we are in, they will have similar problems when trying to get us out.

Currently, I plan on a two pronged assault. One team goes in through the chimney of the front engine while the other goes through the doors in the middle using Blood to gain access.

{That plan could use some more… refinement.}

Obviously! What do you want me to do? Just spit out a perfect plan that gets us inside without any problems? Those trains were designed to keep monsters out. There's no clean and easy way to get in.

{I know. I just thought you had come up with a bit more than that.}

I have but that is the gist you need to know about. Unless Being Y has any inputs I'll get to training my orc hijack squad.

{All he asks is that you create as much trouble as you possibly can. He will not interfere with how you intend to go about it.}

Yes, yes Being Y wants me to create as much trouble for those trains as possible, got it.

No, what kind of skills do these orcs need in order to help with my plan? I definitely need them to be able to climb well. Otherwise they won't be able to get onto the train while it's driving past the trees. Some more mages would also be nice but I'm not sure how much influence I have on their magical ability without them evolving at least once.

Assuming we get into the train, the orcs will also have to be trained in how to fight in enclosed spaces. To do that I'll use the blueprint Navi has provided me and make a replica of the train using earth magic.

Naturally, I can't make the entire train. My magic has its limits and I can't waste mp freely. However, replicating the locomotive and two wagons behind should be enough for now.

Telling the orcs to step back, I channel my magic into the ground. A new pattern emerges and slowly a structure begins to rise. It doesn't really look like a locomotive, but my focus was on the inside. The outside looks more like an elongated hill.

I continue to send magic into the ground as I begin to shape the outside of the locomotive. The wagons can remain as undefined from the outside, but locomotive needs to be detailed enough to simulate the difficulty of getting in.

"You are a powerful mage, I see. Forgive my earlier ignorance, I was unable to perceive your magical prowess."

"Never mind so long as you know now. I have two exercises in mind that I'd like you to organize as the group's Shaman. The things I'll ask you to do may seem strange now, but I promise they will show their use in time."

The Shaman bows deeply.

"I shall do as you command. We orcs may not be the smartest, but we are confident in the strength of our bodies."

"Good to hear. I want you to make two equal groups. One group will train climbing trees. Have them focus on staying hidden for about five minutes and then jumping down. They should be able to jump in down in a way that they do not get hurt and are immediately ready for combat. The second group will be directly instructed by me as to how they will be able to get into a locomotive. Once I'm happy with the second group's performance, the groups will switch."

The shaman hurries to divide the orcs present into two groups. He orders one group to begin climbing trees, and sends the other one to me. Clearly, he has instructed them to follow my every order. They stand there, looking at me, obedient waiting for me to speak.

"During this training, you will learn how to infiltrate a locomotive and fight inside the interior of a locomotive and the subsequent wagons. This here, is just a replica made using earth magic. You may be able to destroy this one, but you will not be able to do so with the real one. For that reason, you are not allowed to break this one, unless you wish to fail when it comes to real one. Instead, you have to learn how to fight in the limited space available."

I'm not sure how much of that they understood. But their intellect seems to surpass that of a goblin, if not by much. And I have made goblins understand much harder things. Worst case, I'll just tell them again.
