<It's a latent skill all goblins and similar species have. Before it awakens as a skill, it does little more than improve accuracy when hitting targets that are running away. Once unearthed it doubles your stats and sharply reduces your stamina depletion so long as fleeing opponents remain in your field of vision.>
That does seem like a crazy buff skill.
<That isn't the point. The point is, the chance of getting the skill is one in 100'000 when a goblin witnesses an enemy fleeing. You caused more than two THOUSAND skull goblins to get that skill at no cost!>
Now that you mention it, I did not lose any stats this time. Even when I evolved the skull goblin censors.
<That wasn't all you. The blue cloths clearly aided their evolution. These creatures are created by Vespasian so they are shaped by his perception. His knowledge of censors connected to the color blue was embedded within them at creation. We also know you picked the individuals with the most intellectual potential using your instructor's assessment, gave them a purpose and a role where they could lead. All those factors came together with your instructing skill to cause their evolution.>
So what exactly did this level up of instructing bring me?
<We believe that you can now make it much easier for monsters, including yourself to acquire skills. Your instructing must have been on the verge of leveling up for a while. Remember when you suddenly got woodworking at level three? That was likely the first sign of the approaching level up.>
That skill is awesome! Do I get a pay rise?
<That's what you are excited about?>
I want to give my daughters and my wife the best life I possibly can! Money is a necessary tool to achieve that. Speaking of money, that loan…
<Consider yourself a man… goblin free of debt. And yes, you will get a small pay rise for leveling up your skill. There is also a sizable bonus for giving all those skull goblins the chase skill. With nearly half the survivors evolved into kobaloi fighters, they are a usable combat unit.>
How much?
After Navi quotes me the number I need to take a few seconds to process it. That's a nice bonus.
<Why don't you take your family on a trip for the weekend? Some fancy resort or an amusement park should be appropriate.>
