Konoha forces were more powerful and United than my expectations as they forced Suna to retreat back to their base camp just after one and a half hour after me and my squad left the battles.
I was glad that we could end today's battle with less causalities than expected and the fact that I managed to copy good skills. I could freely observe the stats of enemies and allies alike from far away after all.

Except for the Hyuga bloodline and chakra strings skills , I pasted rest of them in my skill tree already. Nara bloodline will be helpful to decrease chakra consumption when I use their shadow manipulation skills from now on.
I had pure senju bloodline so not many bloodlines could provide me with incense in chakra capacity anymore. Even Uchiha bloodline did not do that when I absorbed it. Maybe I would receive passive boost to my chakra reserves when its 100% purified in future. I wanted to copy Uzumaki bloodline now because it would definitely provide me with huge passive boost to chakra reserves as it was not much inferior to Senju or maybe stronger than it in this case.
Today's battle was not a full scale one so only some branch members of bloodline clans participated in it from both sides. I did not paste the hyuga bloodline and chakra strings manipulation skilll yet because I was sure that I could loot better ones in future.
Hyuga Maeko the pretty lady from before was only a branch clan member and it would need too many kill points to completely purify if I absorbed her bloodline. For chakra strings skill, I want to loot no copy from the best which was Chiyo and she would definitely participate in some battle in future. For now I had not much need for chakra strings skill anyway .
We returned to our base camp and as I had expected, I was called to a meeting after the emergency meeting about battle situation, casualties etc was over. Inside the large tent, I saw many elite jonin and Sakumo there.
Except Sakumo pretty much everyone was looking at me with some hostility in their eyes and I knew the reason for that well.
As I expected, finally one Hyuga elite jonin was unable to hold his anger and started shouting loudly at me while I just showed my lazy attitude and started cleaning my ear with my pinky finger. I did not put any of them in my eyes so their pride and whatever was not going to work on me.
" Tokubetsu Jonin Nakamura Yami , tell me why did you abandon the battlefield mid way. You and your teammates even had audacity to spectate the ongoing battle shamelessly while your allies were fighting for their lives. Hmphf.."
" That's right.. How dare you ?"
" Arrogant kid.. "
" Shameless.. "
One by one they started spouting nonsense but I did not mind because they were just hypocritical clowns in my eyes. You kill the enemies then before talking shit with me. I wanted to start berating them instead but let it go because it was a waste of time anyway.
" Enough. "
Fortunately with Sakumo's angry shout everyone stopped and I was surprised because I saw the calm and smiling Sakumo angry for the first time.
" So Yami, tell me the reasons behind your actions. "
Finally a civilized person . I sighed mentally and the impression of Sakumo improved more in my heart.
I looked at the trumping faces of the elite jonins one by one and ignored their angry grunts and eyes which would have killed me if looks could kill. Well some looks may be able to kill in this chakra world anyway...
I still had my lazy expression but my eyes were full of respect as I knelt before Sakumo on one knee.
" My reasons were simple. We had experienced too many back to back battles by then and my chakra was almost empty. I had already eaten food pills three times before to recover my lost chakra forcefully. Any more than that would have been risky for my body so I left five shadow clones who had decent amounts of chakra and chose to retreat along with my exhausted subordinates. "
Sakumo looked at me with neutral eyes but I could sense that he was feeling bored and annoyed . Well now I had confirmed that these elite jonins just had too much time on their hands to waste . So I relaxed completely as I was sure that Sakumo wont hold me accountable for my actions. After all my reasoning was not flawed anywhere .
As expected after a while Sakumo allowed me to leave easily ignoring the protests from some older elite jonins. They must be restarted because Sakumo was the head commander not them. So they had no right to punish me if Sakumo disagreed. It's not like I had committed treason after all. I even killed more than seventy enemies which included 2 jonins. So my achievements were worth many merit points.
I went to a corner and decided to relax for a while before visiting my temporary hidden base and create new shadow clones. I had dispelled all the clones before except the ones practicing fuinjutsu because I wanted to create them again and they would have the experience from today's battle which would ensure faster improvement of sharingan.
There was no one nearby so I took out some fresh sweet dango from my inventory and started eating them slowly while rejoicing because I earned many merits and most importantly kill points today.
Kill points - 1140 points.
Now I was more close to purifying my Uchiha bloodline completely....
