章節 31: The Grandson

Yone returned home to find his children monitoring Minato's and Kushina's house. He didn't ask them since he needed to report to Minato and Hiruzen about his mission.

He went to the Hokage Office finding Minato behind a desk while Hiruzen was smoking his pipe sitting on a chair beside the wall as he was still teaching Minato the ropes of being a Hokage.

"Yone, you are back," says Minato as only his eyes and hair were visible because towers made of papers were blocking the rest.

"I completed the mission," says Yone as he looks at Minato before looking at Hiruzen.

"What will you do with the three-tail?" asks Hiruzen curious since it wasn't his problem any longer but Minato's.

"I will seal it inside of Yahiko. He is the weakest of my children when it comes to Chakra giving him a lifeline would make his chance of survival bigger," says Yone telling them about his plan, making Konoha an even bigger target for the other villages.

"Can't we just hand it over to Kiri and be done with it?" asks Minato trying to deal with it diplomatically but Yone just shakes his head.

"I had to catch the damn beast. I will decide its fate. If you don't like that look the other way as did the old man," says Yone pointing at Hiruzen who looked away from them while coughing because he did as Yone just said.

"Wait, Lord Sandaime, he can't be serious right?" asks Minato looking at Hiruzen who only looked at the air.

"I did it for the best of the Village. You should think about it as well. Do you love your wife?" asks Hiruzen as Minato looked at him confused when Hiruzen continues, "He is the person that can take your wife and son away from you. You won't see them ever again as he will move to Uzushiogakure and live there in peace with his children and grandchildren."

"Oho, so I have a grandson. He must look just like his mother," says Yone hoping that his grandson wouldn't look a lot like Minato but more like an Uzumaki.

"Sorry to disappoint you but he looks like his father," says Hiruzen shoveling more coal into the flames.

"So he looks like Minato," says Yone a bit disappointed as he sighs before saying, "I hoped that he had the look of his mother and the brain of his father but it will most likely be the opposite."

"Please don't say that," says Minato imagining two Kushinas in his home.

"Well, at least I am there to teach him," says Yone as Minato thought that Yone was looking down upon him when he creates a Rasengan on his palm.

"Do you see this? I create-," says Minato trying to prove a point when Yone created a Rasengan in his hand as well.

"I could do this when I was just a child," says Yone before his Rasengan began to change and it began to look like a shuriken because he infused it with the Wind Element before saying, "You still have a long way to go."

Minato gave up as he felt without the strength to rebuke Yone at the moment when Yone closes his palm making the Rasen-Shuriken dissolve. He looks at Minato and sighs before looking at Hiruzen.

"What is the name of my grandson?" asks Yone curious about the name Kushina and Minato gave him.

"It is Naruto after the Ninja from Jiraiya's book," says Minato exhausted as he was just reading a document before signing and stamping it.

"Naruto Uzumaki, that has a nice ring to it," says Yone when Minato jumped up again.

"It is Namikaze, Naruto Namikaze!" shouts Minato only to see Yone just clean his ear with his little finger not interested in what he was saying which makes Hiruzen hold his laughs inside from the show he is witnessing.

"Have you heard anything from Tsunade?" asks Hiruzen as Yone closed his eyes and turned serious.

"No, I haven't heard from her for ages. But if I had heard something it would be that she is alright and that Shizune is at Jonin level," says Yone vaguely not confirming nor denying that he saw her from afar.

Tsunade was still being searched by the Village. If he said something that confirms that he saw her and didn't bring her back could bring him some consequences and both Yone and Hiruzen knew that.

"Well, it can't be helped then," says Hiruzen understanding Yone's message.

"I should be leaving and see my grandson before sealing the three-tail inside Yahiko," says Yone ready to leave as he waves his hand at Minato before saying, "I want the money on my family account. I want to buy something good for my grandson."

Yone then leaves Minato who was throwing a fit and a laughing Hiruzen behind as he walks through the village to buy something for his grandson.

He stops at a store that sells pets when he looks at the animals before he stops at a kitten with fierce red hair. He picks it up and looks at it closer when the clerk approaches him.

"This is one of our newest members. She was born recently by our cat," says the clerk as Yone looked at the kitten.

"Can this cat be used as a partner for a future Shinobi?" asks Yone curious as the clerk was suddenly worried about the kitten.

"No, sir, she can't be used like a Ninken," says the clerk as Yone was disappointed but still went to the counter.

"I will buy her anyway. She will be a gift for my grandson," says Yone who only raise a dog before and it was Chibi the trios Ninken.

He didn't have much experience in training a Ninken so he asked the Inuzuka clan for advice which they gave in cryptic messages since they can't disclose Clan Secrets openly.

"Are you sure, sir?" asks the clerk not recognizing Yone who only nods before grabbing a cat tree, a cat bed and a cat toilet as well as cat food and some toys.

He pays the clerk and leaves the shop after storing the things the cat would need as he returned to his property and walked toward Kushina's house before knocking on the door when Haru opened the door.

"Yone, you are back," says Haru surprised to see a kitten in Yone's hands.

"Yes, I brought a gift for my grandson," says Yone as he entered the house while the kitten was taking everything in.

Yone and Haru arrived at the bedroom finding Kushina in her bed holding her son when she notices both of them.

"Dad," says Kushina warmly as Yone took some steps forward before sitting down on the bed.

"I heard that his name is Naruto Namikaze," says Yone as he places the kitten on the bed before stretching his hand towards the baby.

Kushina handed Naruto over and Yone was holding him in his arms before he says, "My grandson, I hope you grow up to have the strength and will of an Uzumaki."

Yone was taking a good and long look at his grandson before handing him over to his mother. He then takes the kitten back into his hand before when Kushina notices the kitten.

"I didn't know that you had a kitten, Dad," says Kushina as the kitten was still taking its environment in.

"*cough* I bought this little kitten for my grandson. As you know a pet in the house can help the children develop a responsible attitude as you have seen with your younger siblings and Chibi," says Yone making Kushina and Haru look at him surprised since he gave it a good thought before buying the kitten, not like the normal impulsive buys he made while the children were growing.

"Did Mito see her great-grandson already?" asks Yone as the two women shake their heads.

"No, we found it too dangerous to bring Mito here," says Haru nervous because of Yone taking it differently than his children.

"What happened while I was away?" asks Yone seriously as he tried to keep a cool head.

"The safe house was attacked while I was giving birth. Nagato and the others fought against the person before he escaped their grasp," says Kushina worried about what her father would do now only to find him laughing out loud.

"Is something wrong?" asks Haru worried thinking that Yone went crazy.

"Nah, everything is alright. I even know who is behind the attack. I haven't told the others yet since he is a person that everyone thinks is dead," says Yone making them look at him with curious eyes.

"Who is behind it?" asks Haru curiously as Yone turned serious again.

"Hashirama's best friend, Madara Uchiha," says Yone making the blood inside of Kushina and Haru freeze when Yone takes out some strains of hair while saying, "He didn't even notice that I took some of his hairs while he was talking to an illusion."

"Madara Uchiha, the Fiend behind the attack on Konoha so many years ago is still alive," says Haru as she wanted to leave to inform Minato and Hiruzen when Yone stopped her.

"I really don't think that Madara will attack Konoha, not with the wrack of a body he has," says Yone remembering that Madara didn't have much Chakra left which tells him that he is at his limit almost passing through Death's Door to meet his end.

"The real problem will be the person that attacked the safe house since Madara can't be in two places at the same time," says Yone as he picked the hair for one thing.

It was to use it in the Forbidden Jutsu created by his granduncle that way he can confirm if it was really Madara who he has met. But he needed to wait for some years to not waste this opportunity to make an Impure World Reincarnation using the hair.

Yone then takes the scroll with the things for the cat and materializes them again before asking, "Where should I put those things?"

Haru and Kushina were surprised by how well prepared Yone was with all the things the kitten would ever need as Kushina gives Yone commands to put them in Naruto's room since Yone bought the kitten so Naruto had a friend to play with.
