章節 29: Third Shinobi War

Yone returned home finding Kushina waiting for him curiously awaiting how the date went when she sees a sad expression on her father's face making her understand that the date didn't go as expected.

"So what went wrong?" asks Kushina as Yone petted her head.

"She and I have other things on our minds at the moment. We agreed that the next time we will decide our future as we won't be seeing each other as siblings but as man and woman," says Yone with a smile as he takes his shoes off before entering the hall.

"That sounds ominous coming from you," says Kushina knowing her father.

"It could be but how did your date with the Namikaze boy go?" asks Yone as he could see her and Minato in the corner of his eyes once in a while.

"I don't know what you are talking about," says Kushina in an innocent tone as she tries to play Yone who just smiles at her.

"I hope that you will be happy in the future with him as I was with Mikoto," says Yone as they walk side by side when Yone enters the rooms of his children one by one to make sure that they are asleep.

Then they enter Kushina's room and Yone makes sure that Kushina goes to sleep before leaving her room to get something to drink. He looks at his glass and shakes it a bit before drinking from it.

"Life isn't fair, I should have known better," says Yone to himself as he finishes his drink and goes into his bedroom to sleep.

The days passed and on one of those days, Tsunade left with Shizune without a word leaving many people behind without an explanation why she left. The only ones in the known were Yone, Nawaki, and Mito which she informed beforehand.

The village tried to track her down but that was quite difficult since Yone used Shadow Clones that transformed into Tsunade and Shizune leaving false tracks so Tsunade didn't have to worry about the village tracking her down.

The years passed and Sunagakure and Iwagakure recovered from what happened while the Land of Fire became quite rich since the Land of Earth and Wind paid a hefty sum to buy back their territories.

Konohagakure received a portion of said money and Yone received a portion of that money which he invested in his house making it bigger since the children all needed their own room the bigger they became while buying the terrains around his house before building a house beside his house.

"For who have you built it?" asks Kushina looking at the new house curiously as Yone petted her head making her feel young again.

"It will be your house," says Yone in a warm tone as he looked at Kushina before saying, "You and Minato can't live in my house once you are married and have children so let me prepare at least this as your wedding gift."

Kushina hugged Yone tightly showing her happiness as Yone was happy for his oldest daughter by hugging her back.

But peace was broken again with the Third Shinobi War which started in the Year 58 after Konohagakure was founded two years later than in the original series.

Yone wasn't allowed to fight on the front in this war. He had to watch as his children were made to fight this time.

The twins were eight years old while Hori was six almost seven years old. The trio was between twelve and thirteen years old while Kushina was eighteen years old.

Yone wasn't worried since Hori and the twins were still in the Academy while the other four could take care of themselves and the people around them since Yone trained them himself.

The trio's team leader was Sakumo Hatake since his old team had outgrown him. Yone had nothing against it since Jiraiya seemed to have a positive change since Tsunade left.

The war was bloody and many looked at Yone asking why he wasn't fighting in the war as their people were dying in it.

That was until in the middle of Year 62 since the Founding of Konohagakure, all of Yone's children were now fighting on the front while he was teaching the future generation when an Anbu appeared before him.

"What does Hiruzen want?" asks Yone who was now thirty-six years old.

"We have a big problem. Team Shikaku had a mortal accident that made the One-Tail and Five-Tail go berserk. Nobody can stop them as they run rampage in-between the borders of the Land of Fire and the Land of Earth," says the Anbu as Yone turned serious.

"Look after the children. I will be going right away," says Yone serious as he walked out of the classroom.

The children looked all confused since they didn't know the nickname Yone received from the previous war. The people never dare to talk behind Yone's back because of his backing which was the Hokage and the Senju Clan.

Yone used Hiraishin to get home. He unseals his closet before he put his clothes on and put his katana on his hip and his gunblade on his back before closing his eyes. He began to concentrate before he opened them again and he disappeared out of his bedroom.

He appears in the middle of a forest and sees Shukaku and Kokuo going rampage. Yone sighs as he bites his thumb making hand seals before putting his hand on the ground.

"Summoning Jutsu: Leviathan," says Yone as a big cloud of white smoke covered him.

The cloud slowly disperses and the Leviathan appeared while Yone was riding its head when it says, "It has been a long time since you called me."

"I had to raise seven children on my own. I didn't have much time to spend summoning you out of your lake," says Yone as they looked in the direction of the two tailed beasts.

"Now, they look like a little challenge," says the Leviathan seeing them.

"I want you to incapacitate them while I turn them back to their original form," says Yone as the Leviathan was confused.

"You want me to incapacitate them?" asks the Leviathan making sure it heard Yone clearly before.

"They are my baby girls," says Yone explaining to the Leviathan why he wanted them incapacitated.

"Understood," says the Leviathan beginning its work as it curled itself around both tailed beasts several times before Yone used his Wood-Release to seal them again.

Once that was done two twelve-year-old girls appeared in the place of the tailed beasts which the Leviathan catches with its head before Yone lands on it.

"Good job," says Yone as he takes both girls and puts them over his shoulders before jumping off the Leviathan's head before it disappeared turning into a giant white cloud.

Yone landed and finds Shikaku looking after the corpse of a boy when he says, "It isn't your fault that he died."

"I know that but still," says Shikaku feeling powerless since he was under his watch.

Yone helped Shikaku up before saying, "We need to leave now. The enemy will soon come after us since Shukaku and Kokuo aren't running rampage any longer."

Shikaku nods as he picked the corpse up and they begin to move toward where their main camp was since they needed to report to Sakumo about the current situation.

They arrived and Yone sees Minato with only two of his three students when he sees Kakashi having a fresh wound and a Sharingan implanted in his left eye. Yone rushes over since Kakashi was like a nephew to him.

"Are you alright, Kakashi?" asks Yone still having his girls over his shoulders when Kakashi sees him.

"Yone, what are you doing here? I thought you stayed in the Village to look after Lady Mito," says Kakashi almost lifeless since he lost his friend.

Yone petted his head feeling sorry for him when Minato seemed to handle it better when he sees the girls and asks, "You came because of the incident that everyone was talking about."

"That's right, I need to talk to Sakumo before I return home to look after your great-grandmother," says Yone as Mito was at death's door with her eighty-eight years.

Nawaki and Haru joined the war this time making Yone look after Mito since she became weaker every year since Tsunade left them. They couldn't leave her alone in the village and Yone was tired of fighting.

Also, Hiruzen was looking for the best candidate to become his replacement as Hokage making it difficult if Yone joined since he would stand out again.

Yone and Shikaku leave Minato and his group as they entered the tent in which Sakumo was taking a look at the map.

"Sakumo," says Yone taking the attention of Sakumo since Yone shouldn't be there at the moment.

"Yone," says Sakumo as he turns around seeing his nieces on Yone's shoulders before saying, "It seems you have dealt with the problem."

"Yes, I will be returning home. I will leave them here since they still have to fulfill their duty," says Yone as Sakumo nods taking them from his shoulders.

Yone then leaves since he didn't want to stick longer than needed on the front. He leaves after seeing Kushina and the trio since Hori was on a mission with his team.

Yone appears in his bedroom before putting his things back into his closet and sealing it again. Yone then goes to the Hokage Office to report to Hiruzen before going to the Academy to complete his duty.

After he was done with everything he would go into the Senju Compound to look after his grandmother who was quite lonely because all her family was at the front fighting in this war.

"It is so silent," says Mito sadly as both sit beside each other on a big table that can fit the whole family.

"They will all be back soon. We just have to stay strong," says Yone as he feeds Mito.

"Why haven't you joined the war like last time? You could have ended it again easily," says Mito as Yone only smiled at Mito.

"Hiruzen is getting older and needs a replacement. If I were to join the war I would overshadow everyone making it difficult for the people to accept his replacement while I am around," says Yone explaining to Mito why he hasn't joined this war.

The next Hokage would be Nawaki, Orochimaru, Minato, or Sakumo going by their feat for the Village. Yone is also there but he refused several times already. He thinks that the Hokage should be a person that the people respect and not fear.

Mito understood far too well why Yone didn't become Hokage like his grandfather and granduncle. She looked at the man with pity as she continues to eat.

"It is a pity that everyone is afraid of the strongest shinobi of this village," says Mito to Yone who only smiled at her.

"We can't change the past and I wouldn't like to change it even if I could since it could alternate my present and future," says Yone not complaining about his past since the present could be far worse if he didn't go rampage before.

"Also, I wouldn't like being stuck behind a desk the whole day not able to tend to you or my children," says Yone adding to the previous comment.

"Your grandfather was always laid back in that department compared to Tobirama and Hiruzen. But it was a different time back then," says Mito feeling the time that went by faster than she wanted.

She grabs Yone's arm before saying to him, "Just make sure that everyone returns safely."

"I will do my best," says Yone as he would destroy everything on his path if something happens to his family.

The war went on for two more years and rumors were spreading that the next Hokage will be Nawaki or Minato going by the person you listened to. But the only thing that interested Yone was that all of his children returned to him safely with some mental strain that brings war with it.
